The alarm clock blared until I awoke, half asleep, half clobbering the clock for it's untimely choice to interrupt such a vivid dream. I stood, and dressed myself. I wore the tradition in my neighborhood: Street Clothes.
A blue jersy, black pants, and some blue sneakers were all I adorned today; school was out for another week, and I wanted to go hang out with friends.
On my way downstairs, my mother, a frail woman of 42, asked me to take out the trash. I never liked doing chores, but I never went against my mom. She had a weak heart, and I was afraid that she would pop if she were angered. So, I took out the trash, and entered the kitchen.
"Auron, honey, I've made some breakfast...You hungry?" She had always been so loving, or was it that she never had to get on to me? I didn't know.
"Yeah, momma, Im starvin'" I always ate like a king, and even worked a job to help pay for the house and get groceries. Today was gonna be bad........I just didn't know it yet.
"Auron....Its time I told you about your Ancestry." Her tone became grim with agony as her heart began to race. I could tell that she would tell me something, then lie down for a while to recover.
"Your ancestor was known as the Cardinal Blade; the most notorious swordsman in Japan. His sword glowed as red as his cloak and generally was stained with the blood of his victims. One day, he was imprisoned in a beautiful mirror, named Kyuigetsuboh. It's divine power held his soul prisoner for hundreds of years. Now, it's a family heirloom that we hold sacred to us. I want you to go into the attic and take a look. The code is "My Lovely Husband"." The attic......My worst fears now flared to life as I relived a recent dream....It started with a mirror.....Maybe I was wrong though.......

Chronicles of the Cardinal Blade........
I love music, and writing fantasy. This journal will be excerpts from a recent fantasy novell involving an old japenese samurai.
