Today I went to tour UC Merced. It was very cool. There are only about 2,000 students. We actually got to go inside the library, dinning rooms, and look into the awesome class rooms. They have conference rooms in the library that have huge plasma screens that you can hook your laptop to and show power points and movies. Everything is state of the art technology. They use the catcards, it's like a student credit card, to pay for everything. You can even use it to do your landury and this place is so technologically savy that the washing machines and ryers can send you an e-mail or text message when your clothes are done. They also have a game room with ping-pong, air hockey, and a lot of other games. They are also the most environmental friendly UC. All of the utensils in the dinning commons are made or potatoe starches or something close to it and it looks and feels like plastice but within 180 days it totally biodegrades. That is so awesome! And even if you get a 6 person room it is separated so you only have to share a room with one person. That is wicked awesome compared to the other room accomidations. I really love this campus and I am thinking twice about majoring in English if I go there. If I go there I will probably major in something that has to do with environmental science. I realized that I like writing but it is not what I want to do with my lofe.
I cannot do a job that does not have structure. I need to have a boss and have deadlines to follow or it seems like my time is wasted. Also I am not a very good writer to begin with. I am a horrible speller and I do not have creative bursts where I sit writting for a few hours or days. I usually can't even write a page with out going back and changing things. If I continue like that I will never get a book released. Perhaps writing is something I can do once I retire. My grandma has so much time on her hands and when I am her age I will fill it with writing. Hopefully I won't be to senial to continue writting though. Perhaps I can get a job as a environmental scientist or consultant. Companies now-a-days are worried about the harm they cause to the environment and want to correct thier energy defficient ways. Hopefully this summer I can get an intership at HP. My dad is trying to set it up and it is much appreciated.
Now that I realize I am going to go to college my priorities have changed a lot. I am now focusing on studing for my permit (I know it is really late) and learning how to drive instead of wondering which new episodes of anime are playing on adult swim tonight. When I have my life in order and have a steady flow of cash I can buy the whole series and whatever else I want or need. If I focus on my goal of getting my life in order I can make sure my future is a happy one filled with a happy job and truck loads of anime (perhaps someone might even fall for me). Well today has definatly been a turning point in where I want to go with my future and I know my heart is in it. I will dedicate myself until all of my asperations come true.
