as we've all found
this world ain't too great
troubles come
diseasters happen
till it seems
it's all gonna end
but it doesn't
cause as you can see
we're all still here

we learn to live
by the help of our friends
and get by for the most part
which means we may be lost without them
so what do we do when they can't come to help?
when all the deep dark thoughts come creeping back
what do we do with no one to fight by our side?

it may not work for everyone
but here's what I do
just go outside
or at least look out the window
find the inspiration
and dream

maybe think of just a calm day
with the sun warming your skin
and your feet are in the cool ocean water
and you can smell the salty air
hear the seagulls
one of those moments you wish would last forever

or deep in a forest
with its many different sounds
and the peaceful security of all the trees
climbing high to see all below
while the light reflects off the glimmering leaves

a great wide green field
where you can run, never out of breath
the wind rushes against you
and a feeling of freedom and strength exploade

or you are the hero
with the power to save the world
to change destiny itself
the one everyone looks up to

maybe you're dreaming of events to happen in our world
or maybe you're off in another,
in place only you can see
fighting battles only you would think of

the great thing about dreams
is that no matter who you are
they can help you
and they always have just what you need

the imagination is a wonderful gift
it gets us by in so many ways
that most don't even realize
it can help so much
if we just learn to use it more

so the next time you're alone and the fight seems hard
stop and look around
find just a bit of inspriration
and begin to dream
because I assure you
your imagination will take care of the rest!
