We kicked SO much a**, it's not even funny! Okay, it may be a little funny, but it was a completely serious event. Whatever. Oh, right. You probably want to hear about it. Well....
Day 1
We take the ferry to Juneau. Good times.
We get off the ferry and meet the lovely Ariel and her somewhat-socialist boyfriend. Then's the really fun part.
We hop in their totally badass cars (an orange camaro from the eighties and a red convertible rabbit from the seventies) and drive over to Chez Lyon. Afterwards, we meet up with others that we know and we head on over to Wild Spice. Seriously, that place is delicious. It's a buffet style Mongolian restaurant where you pick out your raw ingredients and watch them cook it in front of you. Delicious and entertaining.
When we were through, we went to a folk concert and (after most of us had fallen asleep a few times), quickly returned to Chez Lyon.
Sleeping arrangements were made and we finally drifted off.
Day 2
I awaken very early. Is that sentence even right? Whatever. I wake up and eat a little. Meanwhile, I haven't seen Ariel's parents at all so far. I think nothing of it and go back to sleep. Only problem is, it's morning.
In the night, I discovered some strange sleeping habits of the other guys in the room.
The large one sleeping on the couch across the room would take deep breaths in and moan for minutes at a time. My sister's boyfriend would kick wildly at the air. The foreign exchange student and the questionably-oriented, thin one slept on a queen sized mattress

on the ground together. The Chilean absolutely did not move. Meanwhile, the thin one managed to turn completely sideways so that his legs were draped over the Chilean's chest. Weird.
Anyway, after everyone had awoken, we hopped on a public transport system and went to Fred Meyer's. Once there, I went straight to the electronics section. I browsed for a VERY long time (in search of Firefly, but they didn't have it), eventually picking out Stargate SG1, Season 8 and Garden State (all for only $30! it may still seem like a lot, but in Alaska, nothing's cheap). I went to the book section and read the newest Buffy comic again, then waited around while the girls looked for perfumes and the guys tried on shoes.
After an uneventful busride back to Chez Lyon, I watched Garden State with the guys and then some Stargate with everybody. Fun times. I fell asleep in the middle of the episode where the Carter replicator shows up and demands to be destroyed.
Day 3
I wake up and practice our stuff. I eat my breakfast and then we all go downtown for our performance. The moment of truth.
We get backstage and the emcee asks us a couple questions about our band. We answer them (you expect me to remember what they were? it was a week ago!) and he thanks us.
After careful study of the program, we discover something we hadn't noticed before. The bands playing before us were all Latin. And the bands playing after us were...Latin. We were...definitely NOT Latin. Our songs were Lighthouse's Tale by Nickel Creek, Will you go with Me? by Josh Turner, and I Just Can't Wait to be King by Elton John. How much farther from Latin can you get?
But we figured out how the mistake got made. Our band name was A Little Bit Wednesday, with the subtitle of Tres Locos y un Chileno, which translates as "three crazies and a Chilean" from Spanish. Haha...yeah... Anyway, we get up on stage and start playing our songs. The audience is practically barren.
Remember when I mentioned that a bunch of my friends were in town for AASG? Well, they ALL showed up during the first song. Yes, all of them. They practically filled the entire room (okay, not really, but they took up a huge chunk). And before the first song was done, the audience was a good size.
The second song was a solo done by none other than myself. If you know the song, then you know that it has some pretty low notes in it. In fact, it has notes that are VERY low. Seriously, they're really down there. Anyway, the point is that I sang the song. And while I didn't make every one of the VERY low notes, I still sang VERY low. And at the end, everybody seriously cheered. Talk about pumped.
The third song went...okay, it went not-so-good. But we had fun, and that's all that mattered. It was good and we had bunches of fun. Like I said (somewhere, who knows where) I got buckets of fun, and there was seriously no place to put any of those buckets.
When the performance was over, we were greeted by all of our friends who rushed at us and hugged us and were happy and everything and I was happy and they were happy and it was an overall good time (nice run-on, huh? gotta love it). We go eat at Subway and (after seeing two dogs go at it in the middle of the street seven times), return to Chez Lyon to watch a movie and eventually leave again to go have hamburgers. Fun abound, we disperse and sleep for another night.
Day 4
We awaken very early. Earlier than before. We return to the ferry terminal at which point we get back on the ferry and return home. All of the AASG kids are there as well as some track kids who'd also been in town for a meet, even though I'd never seen them.
We get back home, and my mother doesn't make me go to school. Luck abound, I still have to go to dance. We work hard (after they gossip for a while), and then I go home. I checked my gaia, facebook, DA, and everything else I have an account on, and then I slept.
Fortunately, the weekend had gone well, but even more fortunately, it didn't end with Monday.
