[size=18]MangaNEXT 2007
Last year I went to mangaNEXT which is in Secaucus New Jersey. Me and my family stayed in the hotel that the convention was held in. I cosplayed Sakura from Naruto (not shippuden). My reason for going was to see a couple of my internet friends... I didn't tell my mom about it though. I sort of got in trouble sweatdrop Well the people I met there I'm not friends with them anymore so... MOVING ALONG! The convention was ok... it was very fun for a first con experience. We stayed for three days and there was plenty of stuff for me to do in that large amount of time. I loved the anime cosplay chess! I always seen it on youtube and always wanted to watch one in person. I finally did in MangaNEXT. The theme for that year was Girls vs. Boys. It was very funny and entertaining. It was a stalemate... darn i wanted the girls to win. I also enjoyed the dating game. For people that went to mangaNEXT this year and the last must know this guy that cosplays as Gai-sensei. I don't know him personally, but he is an awesome dude! heart He protrayed Gai-sensei so well! I almost died laughing when he did Crank Dat Soulja Boy in the dating game. My friend Caitlin came with me around the second day of mangaNEXT but had to leave because her family had plans. She cosplayed as Haku from Naruto. We had fun shopping in the gallery and playing video games (I was very dissapointed tht there was no DDR crying ) Before Caitlin came along I was learning how to do Hare Hare Yukai (im sure everyone knows this dance from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). I left early to meet up with her. After the con I learned how to do the full dance on my own. Someday I may video tape myself doing it wink A few unforntunate things happened at my first con experience: I did not get to meet one of my friends there that I planned to meet. I lost my Kumagoro plushie crying I got in trouble... We hardly ate at the hotel And I was not allowed to go to the dance party

Well that sums up mangaNEXT... my next con was in Philadelphia. It was called TANDOKUCON. That'll be in my next journal wink
