As Konoro and I finished our fight he turns to me.
Konoro: Symara... Are you alright? You seem to be weaker than usual. This fight would of been over quicker and your movements have slowed.
He looks at my arm. Seeing the blood streaming down my arm his eyes widen then look into mine with concern.
Konoro: Why are you not healing as fast as normal? What is wrong?
I smile and look back into his eyes. My weapon disappears into dust and is carried on the wind. I turn away and watch the sunset.
Symara: Konoro I am fine.... There is nothing wrong. I am a little tired that is all.
Konoro: You are never tired. Do not lie to me! Tell me the truth.
He grabs ahold of my shoulder and turns me to face him. I turn my face away from him. Konoro grabs my other shoulder and shakes me lightly.
Konoro: Look at me Symara! What is wrong?
I turn and look at him.
Symara: There is nothing wrong.
Konoro: Symara! I know you are lieing to me now tell me!
I take in a deep breath and sigh. Turns gaze to the sky and I watch the pink fire disappear into a deep blue and then turns back to Konoro. I begin to lose balance. my knees begin to weaken and my eyes begin to feel heavy.
Symara: It is... the night of the...
Konoro: The night of the what? Symara... Symara! Answer me! Symara!
Konoro shakes me harder and harder then stops. Before my eyes close I look within his and see sadness, worry, and fear. I reach my hand up slowly and touch his face whispering...
Symara: Hold me close to you while I sleep....
I smile weakly and I hear his last words of the night and feel his skin against mine.
Konoro: Yes...I will never let you go.
My eyes close and I drift off into darkness.
