Yeah. The PMSing little b***h is back. Rawrs and all that.
I don't feel like much PMSing at the mo', really. Except on one little topic that I'm not sure we're all familiar with.
Now, role plays, right? We know 'em? They're all stashed in that wonderful little forum we call "Barton Town" (so if you haven't heard jack about 'em before, now you can get some insight and maybe learn a lesson or two =3 ).
Most are good. Extraordinary, actually - and I don't say this often. Most are so well done and neat and just beautiful. Others are blah and crap and make you want to avoid them like the plague. But - here's the catch - which do you think would be better?
The fancy-schmancy ones? The crap ones?
My opinion: the crap ones, actually.
I'm not sure. But it seems that the more time and effort you put into a role play, the more it shows, and the better it will be. But if you work so damn hard on a role play to make it look super fancy/i] to the point where no one can read it? Now you suck. A lot. So go flush your head down the toilet, because you're officially a boring old geezer.
I don't join many role plays. In fact, I hate to. Because most of them suck. Or maybe I'm too harsh? I like a good fantasy/drama or something. Anything with drama, really. Except horror. You won't get me within ten feet of horror/drama.
Now, what bugs the living s**t out of me is the fact when people suddenly up and vanish on you.
It drives me M.A.D.
I H.A.T.E. it.
I don't normally initiate conversations in RPs, because for whatever reason, it seems to spark fear in the other role player and I'm left all alone in limbo with no crap to do.
But.
If someone role plays and initiates contact with your character, they are expected to maintain that contact until someone leaves the other. However, if they are freaking stupid enough to vanish on you, by all means, I say you have every grounds for biting off their head. Especially when you have no word of it. And especially if you've stalked their posts and seen them around Gaia. Because frankly, that's rude.
Good lord, if they do this on a website, I can't wait to see them in real life. ¬¬;
Inspired by some schmucks who felt the need to trap my RPCs.
