Uh... yeah. It's not a rant. Although, this will eventually be moved to my guild, which is also my story archive. yay. X3 ----- It was a normal day in the land of Yaluria. No villains, no monsters, no evil plots that needed taking care of. For once, the old gang could just kick back and relax without thinking about a dying friend or a crazy madman.
Well... at least, most could.
K.C. 3033: Two years after a certain someone died. Together with Shingatsu, Alex Masato more or less just lay there in the grass, in the middle of the Angelic Forest. His unearthly form was slightly transparent against the green grass, more visible now since it was the middle of the day. A sigh escaped his lips as he closed his eyes, letting the breeze wash over him and his friend.
Shin, however, kept looking at the being next to him, definitely more than freaked out. How often was it that one of your best friends came back from the dead, after all. "Lex?"
"Hm?"
"How... How are you feeling?"
"Alright."
Shin nodded, just trying to seem satisfied. When really, he was curious about--
"If you're wondering about Yuri, I've already been to see her."
Talk about reading minds...
"R-Really?" Shin asked, surprised by the response, but happy nonetheless. "That's good."
Silence echoed amongst them again. His nerves were turning into a wreck right now. Shin was not used to quiet. While it was extremely uncommon to be resting with Alex, of all people, it was still extremely... odd.
But despite all that, he smiled, looking down fondly at the sleeping angel. He was here aftee two god-forsaken years, he had come back to them. It was finally sinking in. This wasn't a dream.
He reached over with a hand, placing it on Alex's head and did what he alwys used to do.
He frizzed up those soft, blue locks to the extreme. He laughed as he listened to the offended yelp, watching as his hand was rudely smacked away. Pretty soon, the angel with him was sitting up and glaring at him.
"What the hell, Shin?! Let those habits die!" Alex snapped, now trying to fix his hair up again. Or as much as possible, anyway. He was surprised when he heard laughter from his friend instead of the usual attempt to continue. He definitely didn't expect to be suddenly latched onto and squished until all the air in his lungs was out of him.
"S-Shin! I still need to breathe!"
"Shut up! I missed you, you stubborn brat!"
"Dammit, you're gonna keep on missing me if you don't let me breathe!"
But Shin only laughed, fully intent on teaching his friend a lesson for making them wait so long.
