Derek
I glared at Sal as he mindlessly made jokes around the blazing fire. My one exposed red eye caught his gaze and silenced him immediantly.
"Sal, no more jokes. We need to find a way to take back our hometown." He caught the edge of my voice and straightened out his childish attitude.
"Derek, Maybe Rio and Falka can fly overhead and scan the field." Katrina suggested casually.
"Excellent idea."
Simultaniously we both shouted,
"Change!"
The two birds grew to a massive size and Rio's flame feathers burned the grassland around us. Both birds took to the sky and flew north. For what seemed like hours, they searched. When they returned, they each had a small orb in their talons. Both birds shrunk to normal size and dropped the orbs. One was electric blue, while the other was Crimson red.
"Katrina, Sal! these orbs! they are 2 of the 20 sacred orbs! These are the key to destroying Abbys!" My voice cracked as I said his name aloud . The hate I felt towards him was hotter than Rio's flames.
All was much too quiet.
