Chapter 8

We were on the road- er dessert, plains, whatever- again heading north this time. We saw the sea and decided to move on from California. Some internal arrow was sending us north now. The dessert gave way to trees and forest as we kept going. I think at some point we were started going west because it never got really cold. Just mild.

We were running/walking now. The ground was too uneven to skate plus if we tried we'd bust up the wheels on all the rocks. The area was beautiful tho. I mean all the nature the quiet and calmness. I could really think for once.

"Hey Phase you wanna break for lunch?" Echo asked.

"Sure, why not?" I said sitting down where I stood. X-Ray and Shade followed suit. Flare pulled her back pack off and rumaged through it for any food she had left in there.

"Hey Phase" X-Ray said. "When we were back in Arizona me and Shade had came up with an idea.

"Yeah. We should have a new name" Shade said memory coming back to him. "Thankfully we already have one in mind" Oh god what have they come up with?

"Yeah. The Thief Kings" X-Ray said. "Each and everyone of us is king or queen of theives" I shook my head laughing in disbelief.

"Oh come on it's not that bad" Shade said frowning.

"No. I'm laughing because I like" I said. "Alright. From now on we're the Thief kings"

Okay last time I checked the weather no one mentioned rain! It was pouring now! We were sheltering under a tree but it we were still soaked. I was under a tree with Rogue and Flare. Echo, X-Ray and Shade were under the other.

I filtered out the sounds of Flare complaining about her hair and focused on the rain. Crazyily I feel calmer in the rain. Coupled with the forest and I almost felt like sitting crisscross and muttering ohm over and over.

Rogue smirked probally guessing what I was thinking. I ignored him. Me, Rogue and Faint had been together the longest.

I realized back in my waking coma thing after Faint died that Rogue had took it just as hard as me except he had way better control over his feelings and knew how to make sure he wasn't taken over by them.

At first it was just me and Faint but then we met Rogue and that made three of us. From there we created the band of theives because we felt we needed a purpose and name.

It was after that that Shade, X-Ray and Flare joined. Echo had joined last but quickly became part of our family. Before I knew it we were one big stealing family.

Apprantly I was thinking for awhile cause when I opened my eyes the sun was out shining and the rain had stopped. We walked out from under our trees looking at the freshly rained on world. The smell of rain was in the air now.

"Alright time to move out guys" I said taking a running start.
