Chapter 10

I was walking around in the dark. The dark soon gave way to a green forest. The trees were around like they were put there purely at random. I was aware of what had happened and I started to get worried.

I mean if I was dead who would lead the coven. I didn't even have a second in command. Oh how are they gonna opereate with out me!

"Oh I think they'll be fine"

All thoughts in my head vanished in an instant. That voice was one I knew almost as well as my own. I turned around to see the owner and I felt my face grow into a giant grin.

"Faint!" I said running forward taking her in my arms. The joy I felt at seeing her again gave way to cold realiztion. "Some I'm really dead" I said. Faint smiled at me placing her finger to my lips.

"You're not dead silly. Just in a coma" she said. How is that good? I mean it's better then being dead but still.

"So wait what are you?" I asked now confused. "If I'm not dead then are you really you?"

"Yes I'm me" she said. "I'm the part of you from your mind that'll never die."

I fell to the ground sighing. "Man this stuff is complecated" I said suddenly tired. I felt Faint drape her arms over my neck and I smiled pulling her closer. "I miss you" I whispered.

"And I you" she said to my ear.

"So after we resuced Ray and Flare the police finnaly caught up to us" I told Faint as we strolled through the forest which had turned into a beach now.

"No way!" Faint exclamied. "What happened?"

"Well odviously we escaped but we've been on the run/on the road. We met a girl named Yumi out in Aizona"

"Oh I know all about your Yumi-chan" Faint teased tho underlying jealousy.

"Oh Jealous now?" I said teasing.

Instead of answering she jumped on my back making us both fall into the sand laughing.

"That's everything pretty much everything" I said laying down. "Tho you did miss the moment when Rogue had got almost abducted by an entourage of girls." Faint laughed again then sighed.

Faint reached her hand to the sky like she could take the sun out of the sky. "It feels so close now doesn't it?"

"Yeah" I said doing the same. It was moments like these that I really missed with her.

"Phase"

"Yeah Faint" I said rolling over. Faint leaned forward pressing her lips to mine.

It's time to wake up was the last thing I heard.

My eyes blinked open and the first thing that hit me was the over welming sent of anistetic. That ment I was in a hospital. I turned my head and saw Flare and Ray asleep on the edge of my bed. Echo was sleeping in a chair while Shade had fallen on the ground. I turned my head over and saw to my surprise Yumi sleeping in the chair across from me. Rogue was standing up staring straight at me.

He shook his head laughing to himself. His laughing faded as I fell asleep again. Real sleep not a coma.

I woke up again this time on my terms. The sun was shining in so I guessed someone had opened the curtains. I sat up a little wincing from the pain in my side. Made sense I mean I was hit by a freaking car! I looked around. The room was empty meaning just me and my thoughts. Like I haven't had enough of that already.

I looked up as I saw the door open. In came everyone. Shade was holding a tray with eggs, toast and bacon on it. I smelled it from my bed and it started making my mouth water.

"Welcome back to the land of the waking" Shade teased handing me the tray. I immediatly dove into the food feeling my hunger bad.

"How long was I out?" I asked betwean spoon spools of eggs and peices of bacon.

"Oh about six weeks" Rogue said off handly. Well that explains my hunger-wait! Back up!

"Six weeks!" I shouted after swallowing. I quickly registered the smirks and giggles and realized I'd been had. "Screw you" I muttered starting to eat again.

They laughed. In the back of my mind I was pissed but the rest of me was happy to be with my friends.

"Oh yeah someone came to see you" Echo said.

"Really who?" I asked. I couldn't think of any one else who wasn't here.

"Some kid. He looked around thirteen. He had glasses and a blue jacket." Yumi said describing him.

"Oh, Daren" I said nodding my head. "Yeah I know him. I called him a while ago to dig up some info on Alabasta Science. Did he leave anything behind?"

"Yeah, an envelope" Ray said handing it to me. Okay this does count as an envelope. It was more like a very thick and heavy package. I picked it up and layed it on the table by me.

"Yumi how'd you get here so fast?" I asked.

"It was nothing, Phase" she said blushing slightly. "Besides you've been out for a few days"

"Thanks anyway" I said smiling. "Anyone know when I'm getting out of here?"

"Sorry boss but they said you had another week before you're clear" Shade said grinning.

I groaned slumping my head down. "Fine. Shade and Ray you stay here with me. What you didn't think I was gonna stay here on my own did you?"

Ray smiled, Shade groaned, I laughed.
