So this morning, or yesterday morning, I dunna, A morning, I wake up, and, after a few moments, wonder y i'm not getting up. I check the time. It's 4:27 am. I go back to sleep.

During the school year a few months back, I woke up and thought my clock said 6:00, or close to 6. So, I hop out of bed, and head for the kitchen. I make myself toast, eat a bowl of cereal, and then dad wanders in. mad "What time is it?" he asks.

"six fifteen," I reply cheerily. He waddles (that is our family's morning walk--a waddle) over to the microwave clock, reads it, and then heads back to the couch and snoozes back off to sleep. I finish my cereal, and I'm buttering my toast when I suddenly wonder why dad isn't preparing for work right now. So, I glance up at the clock.

It was 2 am.
