He/she was sitting on a cold, granite bench staring at the hazy sky, the bench providing more comfort than the atmosphere at home. Not only did alcohol and cigarette smoke infect/pollute the air, the controlling mother and submitive dad didn't help much either. Sitting there felt as if time stood still, and all undesirables went away. "If only my reality wasn't like this, maybe I wouldn't be sitting here.", he muttered as a small group of people passed by. He took a sudden glance at them and continued to stare at the sky. A soft presence layed beside him/her. "Would like me to make it true? Your wish?", she asked in a soft, gentle, and childlike voice. He stared at her for a minute. A small girl with an oversized lollipop. She was wearing a pretty weird outfit, it reminded him of a clown.... except cuter. Curly hair and a bow topped off her look, but what he couldn't comprehend was the words she just said. "My wish? It's more like wishful thiking." He chuckled a little and turned to her. "I think your friends are leaving.", he said as he pointed to the people getting farther and farther away. "They'll come back when it's time. But first, your wish." She reached into her pocket and held out a bag of candy. Clumsily opening it, she pointed to him/her. "Take one.", she said with a delighted smile and a couple giggles. His/Her hand moved on it's on, reaching into the strange bag. It felt endless seemingly swallowing his hand until something knicked his finger. He twitched and immediately his hand was let go. Undoing his fist, a small, blue, handwrapped piece of candy lay in the center of his palm. His/her eyes fixated on the tiny morsal. "What do I do--", he/she turned but it was too late, she was gone. Confused, he/she put the candy in his/her pocket and decided to head home, no matter how disgusting it was there. Calling a cab, he/she started what seemed like the endless journey home.
