i just got back from the midnight release at my gamestop where i got tatsunoko vs capcom ultimate all-stars for the wii...
i looked around at strategy guides for tekken 6, street fighter 4... lots of cool art in them...
...looked at promotional cases for games coming out soon...
...i had to wait an hour while listening to the workers and some customers insulting everything i liked, pokemon, naruto, dragonball z...
"they're all the same thing over and over again!" is basically what they said...
i heard "poketard" and "narutard" thrown around... not talking about me directly, of course... but since i liked those things, those insults were hitting home with me...
i damn near exploded and started a blood bath... but they had my game and my money, so... i held back, stayed silent... suffered as i listened to their stupidity...
anyway, eventually the line formed, midnight came, they started handing out games...
you know, i think i am the ONLY person who got this game, everyone else was after mass effect 2, bioshock 2, MAG... and i think no more heroes 2...
what really pisses me off is, they say those anime/games are the same thing over and over...
...what the HELL about the halo series, rockstar games, sports games, army games, etc...
all i see is the same crap in those things... buncha freakin idiots...
oh, and i cant forget this... while in line, they talked about how we can leave feedback on their site to improve on things...
they suggested ideas, like moving the store next to a liquor store, or even combining it with one...
...or even turning the gamestop into a liquor store/pizza shop/strip club... yeah, perfect... make it so atleast half of your customer base cant even visit your store... brilliant!
*sigh*
ok, im pretty much done... i just had to rant about my night... as you should've guessed by now, the title is pure sarcasm...
well, im off to play my new game... as my hatred for humanity grows ever more intense.
