Once, my heart had been darkened with sadness,
But through it all, you were always there for me,
Always remaining my friend.
You were always there to be the shoulder to lean on,
My helping-hand.
I only thought of you as a good friend at first,
But now, I realize how I truly felt.
At first, I thought it was too late,
And cried.
I hoped that the day would come,
And it did.
