HIROSHIMA Mothers clutch their children, Lovers fervently embrace, Kittens cease their playful frolicking, Elders lower their heads in disgrace.
The buildings crumble and implode, Helpless citizens instantly vaporize, Only their shadows cast upon the walls on which they hopelessly clung to remain, God's acid tears spilling from the ashen skies.
Why, they cried out in despair, Why did they have to die today? Why do our people have to witness the destruction, Bodies frozen where they lay!
Why, why, we ask you, why? Why do much doom and decay, of many, of all! How many died today?
