There was something about traveling through space that always sucked all of Alice's energy. It could be that she watched the blur of stars and planets speed by for too long outside of the captain's quarters or it could simply be that going to a foreign planet excited her so much that it caused Alice to nearly collapse when she finally arrived. Either way, Alice had found herself in quite a predicament. After landing in a nearby Earth park and pocketing her shrinking ship, she had managed to stumble into trouble only a few yards away from her landing space. Her heat sensors had not detected a bunch of thugs heading for the park and the moment after she had tucked away her ship they had arrived. At first, Alice had been very kind. They treated her with kind, soft words and she had foolishly followed them a few blocks chatting casually about the earth and the night sky when they had suddenly jumped her. It was only her own minor skills in self-defense that had freed herself from them and the fact that, being an alien, her strength was far superior to their own. Sprinting down the sidewalk she had eventually slipped into a house that was pulsating with the deep bass of music, noticing that the front door was open for all to come in.
Much to Alice's relief it was a human party crowded with people. If the thugs still had the intention of finding her, it would be very difficult and no one would know that she was not welcome at this gathering. Slipping in between the people Alice eventually found herself in the corner of the room. Her eyes watched the door, rather than those around her, as she anticipated the arrival of the hoodlums or the law enforcement.
