The Journal of a Miss Chase
Katrina
User Image"Don't leave me!" The cool blue eyes that met hers still sent shivers down her spine even after months of staring into them. During the time they had spent together, their love had been pure and deep, not even the most brave of sea creatures would have dared to dive into the abyss of their affection had one built in the likeness of it. Just as she had been warned though, all seemingly perfect things could never last. The moments of silence had by now passed the quantity of her fingers and toes but still the two only stared with tangible energy and conflicting emotions between them. Blue versus green. Pale skin against olive. Demon and human.
It was never meant to last.
"We both knew long-kept secrets could not be kept forever." The effect of their secret was personified by a collective glow of firelight from a group of villagers, their torches raging in various hues in accordance with their hate. The two only cast a single glance at the oncoming disaster though and once meeting eyes again, the lovers entwined in an embrace of limbs and skin. It was too short for both as the moment they met, he was forced to unravel himself.
"Our child shall keep what we have had alive." With only that short foreshadowing he turned towards the looming and deceitful woods behind the woman and crashed through the greenery and undergrowth.

Nine months later, a child was indeed was born, but a mother was lost forever.

"Get a bloody move on Katrina or I'll cut your wages!" All the poor girl hauling the two large pails of water could think was, 'What wages?' Ever since her mother had passed away after her birth, Katrina had been in the care of the cruel Mr. and Mrs. Hobbert. None of the other villagers wanted to take her in on account of her being a b*****d, though the two spouses knew a good deal when they saw one.
In exchange for taking her in, they forced her to do all of the work the two had usually had to do. And then whatever they could come up with if they found her with some extra time.
Most days there was a distinct level of grime covering Katrina's body from top to bottom as she had little to no time to bathe. Were it to be removed though, and her spirit to be restored, one would find a most enchanting young woman. Her unusual crimson eyes, typically turned most away from her in the village though. No one would ever tell her about her mother's past or what they may know of her father, but she had caught enough to know that rumor said that he was a demon lord who had put her mother under his lustful spell and Katrina was bedded from that brief union. In her mind, Katrina liked to believe that he was a nobleman instead; who was betrothed to another and had simply run home to end his engagement but fell gravely ill or prey to bandits on his return trip, her mother dying of a broken heart despite the beautiful baby girl she had given birth to.

There was a sharp crack from behind and Katrina stumbled as she felt a searing pain in the back of her thigh. It seemed Mrs. Hobbert had gotten impatient with Katrina and was now resorting to using her horsewhip on the poor girl. "I said get a move on!" Just as her uncomely screech echoed across the field, Katrina noticed two lines of brilliantly handsome black steeds charging up the road next to the ranch. They looked like horses from some kind of palace and even Mrs. Hobbert became a little flustered seeing it so close and nearly fell out of her seat when it stopped and the door to the side of the carriage the horses had been pulling opened.

((PM me to continue! We can do other roleplays and I have other starters and RPCs.))
