Pawnshop Prophet
I only ever really post in here when I'm alone and feeling.. introspective.
Project?
Yeah... I need one o' thems. I'm gonna be/am a Creative Writing major in college so I was thinking of starting a website of some kind. Part of me wants it to be some kind of review or news site for video games or Warhammer (gimme a hellz yea comment if you know about THAT game. xd ) or something. Then I keep thinking: What's gonna make this different? How am I gonna make this website stand out against the countless other websites about video games? I write stories but they're hardly ever about video games.. and the only reason I even suggest Warhammer is because I know someone who works at a store and he'd have inside info of upcomming stuff. I do love to be a leak. ><; My deal is that I have all kinds of ideas for comics or stories but they're never very cohesive insofar as a theme or anything. I have a pretty neat idea for a comic about a guy, not sure if he should be a PI or just a merc or what, who has the power to bend reality to his will. Basically he can create objects from sheer thought. Now this would be a pretty hefty power.. basically the world is at your feet: a guy bugging you? Imagine up a gun and blow him away. Or imagine an M1000 strapped to his balls and an umbrella in your hand. So many possibilities. biggrin However, seeing as how this guy would basically be a god, one day his imagination gets so wild and crazy that it becomes sentient. That's right, his imagination literally runs wild. It's like his side-kick. I had the idea that it would only be visible to him, but I'm still unsure about that part. What I do know is that the imagination (still working on names here. sweatdrop ) would be sort of.. amorphous and change it's shape/gender/art-style depending on it's mood/the guy's mood. I figure they run around in a post-apocalyptic era (a strange obsession of mine.. blame Mad Max D: ) that he brought about just before his imagination got a mind of it's own and.. well do stuff, I guess. Catch bad guys.. or something. ::scratches his head:: Yeah.. still a work in progress. Anyways.. I guess this journal is kinda just turning into me thinking aloud. >_>; Yeah... that's the kind of weird s**t I write about. xd

Maybe I'll just post the stories I write in my classes here for some kind of public approval for starters and maybe build on that. As of right now I'm a tad poor to be a real video game reviewer.. those hot titles cost a pretty penny. >< Though I was thinking of getting another part-time job for some experience at like... EB or Babbages or Gamestop or something. I hope they're accepting part-timers. D: I only want 10 hours a week or so. lol Anyways... umm.. feedback if anyone reads this would be kinda cool.. I guess. Oh, and if anyone steals that idea, and I'll find out somehow, I'll just kinda.. re-eneact the exploding genetalia scene discussed above. biggrin heart

You stay classy, San Diego. wink

P.S. Oh yeah.. and if you're like.. interested in collaborating on the comic idea, which I doubt anyone will but I figure I'll say so in case a miracle happens, let me know and send me a sample of your style and such. We may just make a fortune. 3nodding

Too bad I'm not much of a writer. I love the idea of a sentient imagination, and a post-apocalyptic playground sounds perfect (I also have that same obsession.) I'll come back and read more. At the moment I should be getting ready for work. Nice meeting you.
