I wake up from a sleepless sleep,
Drowning in my dreams,
Eyes searching for you beside me,
You're nowhere to be seen.
No imprint on your pillow,
No warmth beneath the sheets,
It makes me wonder if you are real,
Or are you make believe?
I try to veil how I must feel,
My feelings I must hide,
It hurts to hold in so much hope,
Just crying hard inside.
My hands are quickly shaking,
My heart starts beating fast,
It feels like I'm racing for your heart,
But I know I'll finish last.
But I never gave up easily,
So I'm not going to fail now,
I'll run till the ends of this dying Earth,
I'll make it to you somehow.
Through oceans now that stretch so far,
Over mountains climbing so high,
I'll look for you just everywhere,
It's you, that I will find.
