I fell in love with you…
On that new school day
U were staring directly at me
As if I had that secret you were to know about me
U started to talk to me out of the blue
I looked at my friend and took a look at you
You were the dorkiest, though the funniest of all
I couldn’t believe I had to talk to you at all
We talked for hours after school was done
We had so much in common our friendship had grown
My friends and others took our friendship for granted
They said we had so much in common we should get married
I ignored this and kept on talking to you
You did the same until you finally told me the words “I love you”
I brushed those words off to ignore you all day long
So that I wouldn’t have to blush in front of my newest little crush
I told my friends to find out that they already knew
For the dude that told me I loved you…had told the whole school
I was angry for a while but let it pass when you spoke to me
A year passed and my feelings grew intently
I hid it well smacking your head and laughing widely
But one of my friends knew the truth while watching and laughing
I could tell you knew by my reactions
By that puppy look you gave me when I hugged you
The only problem was that I was too tall for you
Grow a few inches and I may consider dating you
But until then ill hide my love and hug you
Talk to me everyday ill be waiting and smiling
Don’t worry about it
Both of us are connected in some way so deal with it
My love for you is weird in that simple way
Still ill be waiting for you until ur tall one day
So the one hugging me is not going to be the old short you
But it will be the new tall you who would make me as happier as your old you would.
