Chapter 1 Part D
Naomi finished cleaning up the blood. Her silver hair rested on her shoulders as she leaned back against the wall. She then stretched walking down the hall to her makeshift bed room. An opened envelope lay on a school desk by her bed and an old pillow lay on the floor. She looked at the letter which lay next to the envelope. A spark of happiness glowed in her heart as her beautiful violet eyes rested on the letter.
If I am going to be stuck on this Earth I had better do it in luxury. Sure I don't want to be at school but this Raven of the North seems nice. She thought with a soft smile.
Naomi changed into a jean skirt and a white T-shirt which was far too big and went down past the skirt. She tied a knot in the back so that the shirt wouldn't be too long. She slipped on some sandals and walked outside. The air was muggy from the night be fore’s rain. Small puddles of water were every where. She walked to the back of the chapel to a cobble stone path that went into a forested area. The branches of the tree were low and hung over the path. She constantly had to duck her head to get under the branches. She finally reached the other side of the forest where a white pagoda sat on the top of a giant hill over looking the ocean. On the very edge of the cliff was a wooden cross. Naomi trudged up to the pagoda and sat down. The sun was high so she could tell it was about 10:00 a.m. There was a crisp breeze which brought in the salty smell of the ocean. The ocean waves crashed against the rocky cliffs sending water spraying into the air. The sun glinted off of the water making a sparkling rainbow. Naomi sighed looking up at the cross. She got up and sat down on the edge of the cliff starting to sing. Her voice was beautiful. It called to the ocean. The sweet melody wafted through the air calling to the breeze to take her away, back to where she belonged
