Chapter 4
After getting dressed in her school uniform with a jacket, Avalon waits by the door as Rose gathers a blanket and pillow from the closet.
She wraps the blanket around the pillow and walks to the door. The demon unlocks and opens her door; the girl steps out followed by Rose.
The pair is greeted by and gently pushed out of the way a young light skin woman with long black hair wearing a Simi tight tank top and sliced up jeans for easier movement; carrying three boxes. The woman says "excuse us"
Another girl with darker tan skin and long lavender hair dressed the same, follows her carrying five boxes.
Avalon looks to the pair confused, "Are they moving in Ms. Rose?"
"Don't know..."
The two women enter an apartment as another exits. The one that exited has short light brown hair with a single long, slim braid that reaches her ankles. She wears a traditional Japanese Miko outfit. She walks to Rose and Avalon and bows. "Good morning..."
Rose says nothing as Avalon replies back.
"Good morning Ms."
The woman stands up. "Please just call me Hitomi." She said with a voice of some one who cares of others more then herself.
Avalon replies "Okay..."
Hitomi quickly looks Avalon over but takes her time with Rose. Rose does the same; something about this woman does not make sense. Her left eye is an unearthly green while her right eye is an earthly blue. Is she a priestess trained to hunt demons down?
Avalon goes to ask something but the sound of glass breaking followed by the lavender haired girl being tossed out of the apartment as if she was hit by a bus. She hits the guard railing breaking it off.
Avalon quickly hides behind Rose as if see a bad memory. The metal hits the ground waking everyone up in the area, but no grunting or sounds of a human body hitting the ground. The sound of shoes hitting the pavement happens as many of the doors and windows are opened with the heads of curious neighbors popping out and the full body of agitated ones coming out to complain. One of whom is Avalon's father.
He yells at the girl "What the hell do you think you're doing you moron, people are trying to sleep!" Hitomi starts to move to the father to apologize about the lavender haired woman when a fourth woman dressed in a black tee shirt tucked into dark blue digital cammo pants and boots walks over saying strongly but softly, " Then why are you yelling? Why are you not in bed?" She stands in front of Avalon's father looking him dead in the eyes.
He starts to back down slightly. “Because that damn girl made too much noise, now back of or I'll call security."
"Go ahead, call me" She said glairing him down still.
"You? What do you..."
She pulls out her badge and I.D. Showing it to him.
She backs off yelling "Everyone back inside, go back to sleep and when you go to leave for work, stop at our apartment, we'll have a cup of coffee or some juice for interrupting your night sleep."
Everyone does as told and returns to their beds. Once the last one leaves, the woman falls to her knees breathing heavily as if she just saw something that frightened her.
Hitomi and the other woman run to her and help her up by the shoulders.
"Come on Light we got you..." The two help Light up the stairs as the dark haired woman steps out looking around. "Alright, the mats are made and..." She sees Light. "Come on in you two, I need your help getting her stuff ready..."
Rose sighs as Avalon looks to the woman "Ms. Rose, can we?"
Rose nods.
