Damian: Sure. Thank-you, Skye-san. Akatsuki members were running out. I knew this. Maybe Pein was on the search of others..? Was that the mission he had given Itachi? I got up and sat on the back of the couch, facing the door. It opened a minute or two later. Pein walked in, giving me the normal dismay stare he gave everyone. A few unfamiliar faces followed him down a hallway. Tobi and Zetsu entered. He shut the door behind him. My eyes grew wide. Now I knew... Itachi had been defeated. I fell to the floor, tears running down my even paler face. Damian caught me, holding me in his arms as I wept, Tobi patting my shoulder and walking on into the dark. Zetsu remained, as Damian pulled back to wipe a tear from my eye. Then I realized he was not the only one not present. D-Deidara... Zetsu held a pale blue rose in his hand, twirling it around between his fingers. Zetsu: What a curious thing love is... He tossed the rose at my feet. I stared at it as I cried, seeing the words' I love you..Itachi.' on the stem. That rose would live forever- I would never let it die. I picked it up, the thorns cuting my hands. I held it tightly. Haikri: Damian..just..just l-eave me alone! I ran for Itachi's room, closing the door behind me. I stared at Pein. He was there with another new member. The unknown man smiled at me. I shook my head no. Haikri: No-- I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! THIS IS HIS ROOM! HIS! YOU CAN'T GIVE IT AWAY! I slurred my words as my eyes were blocked with tears. I shook his arm, begging him to just let his room stay. Pein shook me off. Pein: No Haikri. Uchiha Itachi is dead. This is no longer his. Haikri: I'LL TAKE THE ROOM THEN!!! JUST LEAVE HIS THINGS--- Pein: This room has been promised to another. No. A shard of ice formed in my hand, and I drove it into his chest. The other member's eyes widened, and he tryed to pull me off. Pein motioned for him not to bother. Pein: Kisame!! I felt someone tear me away from him, and I kicked and screamed as I was pulled across and down the hall. The door locked from the outside. I banged on the door. Haikri: LET ME OUT!!!!!!!! HE'S MINE! H-HE'S..MINE..NO!!!!!! a string of curses followed. I formed handsigns, and the door unlocked. I pushed against the door, but I felt a presence behind it. There was a loud crash, and I flung the door off it's hinges. Kisame was stuck in the neighboring wall. Pein: *You will not kill them, you will not kill me.* Silence.. as rage filled my head. Pein: * No. That is my final answer. You may have all his possesions, and a larger room by Konan if you wish. Haikri: * NO, YOU RAT!! * PEIN: *WHOULD YOU RATHER ME BURN ALL OF HIS POSSESIONS PERSONALLY?* I shuddered at how loud he was in my mind. I fell to the floor outside of Itachi's door, cringing at his voice in my head. Haikri: please...n-no..no more...pl-ease.... I stayed there, and I felt Pein's anger subside. Damian ran to me, pulling me into his arms. He looked at my painfilled face, and fangs appeared over his bottom lip. He lay me back down, and I shuddered as I felt the door being flung down the hall. I heard alot of yelling, and a few low growls. A loud bark followed, and another yell followed. Pein: ALRIGHT! I soon felt a shaggy head beside me. I looked at the blood on his lips, in his fur. Damian: *Come. It is yours.* Pein stummbled out of the room, and the other member stared terrified at me as I climbed onto Damian's back. Haikri: This is not a welcome place for you, young one. It is a place of death. The man eyed my stomach, and thoughts ran through his head. Haikri: Watch your thoughts boy! They might just get you killed!! I yelled at him, and he ran off after Pein. The room was still intact. A splatter of blood stained the wall by the door, but I ignored it. I slipped off Damian's back, and crawled up onto Itachi's bed. I curled up beside the pillows, holding my flower in my hands. A tear rolled off my face and landed on a petal, freezing. Damian: Sister... I turned from him, shaking. Damian thought about making a projection of Itachi for me. I didn't want him. I didn't want somehting I couldn't touch. Damian knew that. He sighed, and focused on a Itachi I could have, if not for just a few hours. It left him exhausted, but it worked. He had created a Itachi that would last for a while. Damian left, and the door closed behind him. Itachi: Haikri-kun? I didn't move. It wasn't the real man. It wasn't the same. I waved my hand, and the chakra creation vanished as a wisp of smoke would. Itachi: I love you, Haikri... The words faded, and so did my world. I didn't want to live any more. But life went on for my child, and I would not give up on it.

I woke up to the same room, the darkness encasing my world. I embraced it, feeling totally alone. I got up, opening the door and walking to the kitchen. I tried drinking some water, but it froze before I could even drink it. The extra chakra was driving me crazy. My little boy-- was driving me crazy. He loved me to death. I knew him. He thought about who I was, and what life was, and what light was. And words! What thoughts he had about words! He said my name over and over again in his mind, like I was his own precious god. I vommited in the sink. I hadn't been taking the pills. I didn't trust Kusuri's medical skills anymore. I washed out the sink, and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. My boy felt sorry. I put a hand around my now-more-prominate belly-bluge. Hairki: *It's not your fault little one.* I smiled. I knew it whould be a bit harder from here on out. The last two months meant alot of back pain. I left the kitchen, walking slowly to the livingroom. I sat down carefully on the couch, grabbing the remote. Damian now slept in my room, instead of in the corner of the livingroom. I turned the TV to animal planet, and tried to sleep. It didn't help. Lions tearing apart little monkeys was not the best choice. I just turned it off, trying not to barf. I thought about the others, and noticed that I had made no attempt to get to know them. Thoughts of hate overcame me, but I settled myself, not wanting him to be afraid. He kicked, and I gasped. A feeling of regret filled my thoughts. Haikri: It's alright....Shhh... I wispered to him gently.
PART 6 NEW LIFE uploaded
"What are you doing up?" I jumped, surprised. I turned to see Zetsu standing in the hallway. Zetsu: Couldn't sleep..? Haikri: No...he was keeping me up. Zetsu gave a small smile that faded quickly. He walked over and sat down on the other couch. Zetsu: How are you? Haikri: Hm? Oh- fine I guess. A little sick, but fine. Zetsu: I meant..About..Itachi. I'm sorry. Haikri: Oh...umm...I'd rather not linger on that subject too long..but I guess I'm ok-- I'll never be content without him, but life goes on... Zetsu: I understand...Do you want me to get any thing for you? Water?...blankets? Haikri: No thank-you.... I'll go back to bed soon. Zetsu: Alright...Just checking in. Don't stay up too long. You need your rest Haikri-chan.. Haikri: I won't. I promise. I made an atempt at a smile. He smiled back, and got up. Zetsu: Alright. I'm going back to bed. If you need anything- just call. Haikri: Um'kay...Thank you Zetsu-kun. I watched as he walked into the darkness of the hallway. My mind strayed back to the newest members.. Haikri: Zetsu? Are you still there? I heard quick footsteps, and I saw his venus flytrap of a head 'peek' around the corner. Zetsu: Yeah? What is it? I turned a bit more to look at him. Haikri: Who are the new members? Zetsu: *New members?!? What is she talking about? Most likely the one who was to take Itachi-san's room.* He was not a new member... Merely a replacement for one of Leader's bodies. Haikri: Oh...ok. I thought we had real new members..Who's leaving tomorrow? I heard rummors that some of you had a mission. Zetsu: That would be Hidan and Zakuzu. Some spying in Konohagakure. Haikri: Another Nine-Tailed mission? How boring. Zetu nodded, a bored expression on his face. A moment past. Zetsu: Was that all you needed? I jumped. Haikri: Oh-- yes. Sorry. I spaced out.... Zetsu laughed a bit under his breath. Zetsu: Good night Haikri. Haikri: 'Night Zetsu-kun. I stared at the floor, not feeling like I needed any more sleep. My mind wandered on, and finally paused on Skye. I was worried about her attitude towards me. It was like I didn't exist any more. I wanted her to be closer to me, and help me with what I was going through, but she always looked with an absence in her eyes. I dared not venture into her mind anymore, not wanting to provoke. I could feel that she was awake now though. I frowned at her dream. The horribly vivid dream of her 'sister's' death. I was added this time. The imagination continued as Kakashi impaled me with kuni. I shivered as she tried to heal my injury. Her chakra wouldn't hold death from me, and I went limb in her arms. She woke up as she turned to charge after Kakashi. I stood, walking down the hallway to her door. It took me awhile, I didn't want to wake anyone. I knocked gently on her door, and I heard it unlock. I opened the door, looking around the room. Skye looked at me, and a frown jumped to her face. I closed the door behind me. Skye: What do you want from me Haikri. It was more statement than a question. Haikri: I wanted to apoligize- Skye: It's too late for that. I know what happened at Orochimaru's. I sighed. Haikri: Then you forgive me? Skye: NO! I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU! Darn it Haikri! Haikri: I don't say anything-- I didsn't want him to know. Skye: You could have told me she was alive!!!!!!!!! I bowed my head in anger and impatience. Haikri: Listen Skye- if I had told you, she really be dead right now Ok??!??! Skye seemed stunned by my anger. Haikri: She's just keeping her distance..She'll come back when it's safe.. Skye: Why can't we just go save her for once??! She was always there for me, and for you, why can;t we be her lift line?! Haikri: She arrives when she arrives. I have never entered that girl's mind Skye. I never will. I walked out, and went back to my room, feeling tired once again. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I awoke to a glare in the 'window' of Itachi's room. I remebered how he always sat in that window, staring out into the distance of whatever he made possible. I was a snowy day for me everyday. Itachi had made it beautifly for me. The snow always falling but never accumulating. I watched it often, and the small clip of Itachi and I walking through the snow played on the windowpane. We had plenty of times such as that.. but they can never last forever you know. It was cold. I wrapped my blanket around my shoulders, and left the room, not wanting to leave the dreamy pictures of the last years. No one was cooking breakfast anymore, since the group had descided to move to another location. Konan explained to me that I could stay here-- They moved the house all together to another location. Pein wouldn't of let me particapate because of my current 'condition'. We always waited until we were out of food to move. It was easier - that way food wasn't all over the kitchen. Skye was there in the kitchen, making coffee like every morning. She really didn't need it, but she drank it ever since I did during the middle of Tsunade's training. She always warned I would grow to dependent on it, but I ignored her. So I sat at the small bar while she leaned against the counter behind her. She stared at the pitcher filling slowly with coffee. I could tell she was frustrated with it being so slow. She flicked her hand, and the time passed faster in that area, and she grabbed two cups out of a high up cabinet. She cut off the machine and poured our drinks, handing me mine and she held hers in her hands, blowing off the steam. Skye: Sleep well, Haikri-sempai? I smiled, but it soon faded from my face. Haikri: Not as well as I would have liked. The consant dreams of my Love's death plagued me like Zirra's did Skye. Haikri: You? Skye: You know what my nights are like... She gulped down her coffee in one swig. I didn't ask if she had burned her tounge. She had a immunity to heat. I waited until mine was fairly cool before drinking it. I didn't want to burn my own throat. Skye washed her cup, and placed it back into the cabinet. Haikri: Are you worried about me, or just concerned with waiting for Zirra's return? Skye: My Sister. She walked out. She was still angry with me. I could tell. On another note, I could tell Konan was leaving for training along with Pein. Kisame had been away for a time now, most likely on a long-term mission. Zetsu was the only other member still at the base. Haikri: I could walk, or sleep. Or sleep. I was used to the weird cravings by now, but prevented my body from have the desired. This made me better physically. Throwing kuni was the bast training I could preform, but I felt too tired to. I walked back to my room, dragging my feet. I closed my door behind me and left the lights off, going back to sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I woke in the evening, and I could tell it was about six from the heat in the air. Though it was rare for heat at this time of year, I could still detect forms of it. Konan was here, but Pein was still absent. Shard was coming back from a long flight. I could barely hear her speak. Shard: *You're not going to like this Haikri-sempai. Not AT ALL.* Haikri: *Tell me what's wrong when you get closer. It's hard to hear at your distance.* I heard skye huff in impatience, and move faster. I got up from bed, and walked out onto the porch. In very minutes, a felt a great gust of wind, and I saw huge wings enter the meadow, the trees bowing to their power. Her massive claws tore into the ground with mighty force. I smiled as she folded her wings, walking towards me. Shard: Sasuke!!~ She hissed angerly. Shard: Pein's accepted him into the Akatsuki!! My eyes widened, and my little boy kicked me in worry. I cursed under my breath. Shard: I won't stop you. Kill him at first glance. I will give you your revenge. Haikri: I could risk loosing that last memory I have of Itachi. Shard: I'm sure I can lend you chakra. Haikri: No. I can't risk his life. Skye: Damian..? Haikri: He will kill him without my orders. He knows the pain I have endured. He will allow me the last blow. Shard's sides rummbled with murderous laughter. Shard: Who said I could not fulfill your revenge? Am I not one of your kin? You must remeber that I have been in your thoughts as well--I feel every pain you do. Haikri: You didn't have to feel it. Why didn't you pull away? Shard: I wanted to see how you would feel after seeing your man die. Her eyes narrowed slightly. Shard: I had known by now that you are not indestructable. But sorrow and pain gives you great power. Why did you not train with that energy? Haikri: What did you do, Skye-san, when your man left you? She became silent, pulling her neck into a high arch, the spikes on her neck glimered as she shook her head. She exhaled, and I could feel the heat on my face from her breath. Shard: Return inside. You'll catch a cold-- I wouldn't want you at the bottom of your curent game when the murderer arrives. Her tail flicked across the meadow, and a large eye focused on me. I grimaced, and got up slowly, looking back to see Shard stalk off in the nearby woods. I closed the door behind me, and saw Zetsu asleep on the couch. Whenever he was at the base, he absorbed the Venus flytrap back into his body, making him appear almost normal. I swept a lock of hair from his left eye, then walked on, a smile on my face. We had grown closer than before. But not close enough to replace the one whom I had lost. I still grieve for his life. I sat in the kitchen awhile, listening to Skye rant on about Pein being a complete fool, and how that if he would wait he would have another member. Haikri: That would bring the number only to eight.. Skye: Oh-- That's right-- He threw away Kakuzu's and Hidan's life for the Nine tailed! This made the situation worse--to my ammusement. Her speech stoped short suddenly, and she stood up straighter. I turned to see Pein back from whatever he was doing. My eyes narrowed in anger. Pein: You have already been told I presume? Haikri: Yes. Why did you not consult all of us before approving this decsion? Pein: We did. You were excluded because of your bias against him. Haikri: And is that fair? Pein, Sasuke is not the best person to bring here. Unless you would like him dead in the first week he lives here, I suggest you give him plenty of missions. My fangs grew over my bottom lip as my mouth set into a set line. Pein: He wil be here Haikri. I will not overload him with missions. We are all doing a fair share. Shard has been completeling all of your missons. I suggest you put that into consideration. Haikri, I give you this warning: Kill Uchiha Sasuke, and you will be separated from the Akatsuki Organization, including your people. I will cut all ties. I snarled. Haikri: You just couldn't wait could you! You'd have a completely loyal member if you would wait a month. But of course not, you have to drag that Murderer into the picture! My People still serve you! Are they not worth a hundred nin?! Pein said nothing, just giving his unreadable stare. He left the door way, silently making his way down the hall. Skye: He doesn't give a minute to even notice that you're royalty...how disrespectful. Haikri: Skye, I don't need sarcasim right now. Skye: I was being serious..really. I rolled my eyes. Damian: Are you alright? Haikri: We're fine. Skye: She's fine. Haikri: Do you HAVE to be a parrot today?! Skye shrunk back, and transformed into her wolven form, slinking out of the room. I put a hand over my eyes, and sighed. Damian put a arm around my back. Damian: Can I cut your hair now? You've been sitting on it for ages, and I didn't want to bother you earlier. Haikri: Sure...I don't care. Just nothing shorter than my shoulders. He liked it that way. Damian got a pair of scissors out of a dawer and I sat up and pulled my hair out from under me. It almost rested on the floor. Damian grabed my hair below my shoulders, and cut the excess hair off, it slipping to the ground. He pulled the hair from the ground, and tossed it in the trash as he put the scissors away. Haikri: Thank you. Damian: Your welcome. I know how you don't like it cut that short.
The rest of the day and night consisted of eating, sleeping and T.V watching, as was every day since the beginning of the nine-month torture. Many days passed, and no signs of Sasuke or his gang appeared. The days were uneventful now, and I had nothing to do. I wasn't going to fall to motherly insincts such as sewing ..I didn't even know how to. I walked around the hideout daily, but it was getting harder to. My boy talked more often, but somehow was cautious not to mention certain words. We spoke together all day long, and I tried to explain to him that he wouldn't see me for a while after he was born-- I still had to recover from Haikri: *Musuko..Are you alone?* *No.* My eyes widened. I searched for other life, but his life-force was so strong to couldn't tell one from another if there was another. *I have mommy- I'm not alone.* I sighed relief, but I didn't know why. The day continued and ended like the rest. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The days passed slowly by, and I struggled with my instincts to leave the Akatsuki to have my child. Shard kept a close eye on the outside of the hideout, and stayed in touch with my thoughts to make sure that I wasn't planning on leaving any time soon. Sasuke had visited the hideout to check in with Leader, but nothing else. He and his gang kept his distance ecept for the one who looked like Kisame, Suigetso. I saw him mutter something into Sasuke's ear, then chuckle. I didn't care to listen, but Shard did, and I'm sure he was taught a very valuable lesson outside. The hours stretched on, and I soon forgot how to tell time, staying up through the night. Skye: Haikri-san. Go to bed. NOW. Your driving me crazy. Haikri: Fine- Mother. I got up and walked down the hall wearily, and Skye followed to make sure I stayed in my room for at least an hour. After that, she locked the door from the outside, tired of sitting there waiting for me to fall asleep. The moments passed painstakingly by, and soon I was counting crows. I sat up, and saw a dark figure in the corner of the dark room. They were leaning against the wall, their head down low. Haikri: I-Itachi..? The head lifted, and I saw bright red eyes through the darkness. It lifted a finger to its lips, and made a shhing noise. It approached, but I didn't change my vision to see. Haikri: *SKYE!* An instant later, Skye appeared by the shadow, a kuni by a throat. She whispered something in a hiss to the person, and I could smell fresh blood. After a sharp reply back, the figure flipped her hnd backwards. I heard a slight scream of pain. She stummbled backward leaving the person free to do as they wished. I heard a few strong incoherent words, and Skye shout out some others, and a bright flame shown and faded after a battle with itself. The sound of a knife being pulled from it's shealth sounded, and I got up and fled towards the far corner of the room by my window. They walked fast, but I heard skye ramble off more words, and I saw the figure fall to their knees, holding their neck and choking. I saw a quick hand movement, and a glimer of light, but I didn't move fast enough. The blade caught inbetween my shoulder and collarbone, which turned upwards to cut along my jawline towards the neck. The air rushed out of me and I fell to the floor. Skye: Haikri!!!.... I heard her words barely, and a laugh closer to me. I could smell blood. Blackness cut out my vision, but for a minute or two I heard the fight continue. In my mind I heard Skye shout for the other members of the Akatsuki, Pein as the loudest. She gave another yell, this one she held back, it wasn't that deep of a wound. I felt a barrier go up around her mind, and the feeling of another blade sink into my right arm, catching inbetween bone and bone. I choked at the flesh smell of blood, and lost total awareness of the situation. Skye: hai-kri-----!
"Haikri... Please wake up..." "You shouldn't hold her like that! She can't breathe!" "Konan, she's fine." "You need to just let her go. You haven't slept in at least four days." "Damian, Leave. You are not in control of your emotions. Your sister will heal." "We should all leave her alone . She needs sleep and silence the most right now." "Yeah, silence. That'll help Zetsu. What happens if she just stops breathing ok?!? She needs me!" "Kisame..." "I know. It was almost the same with Skye-san as well..Damian. Come on. Let's go get something to eat. You have to be starving." "I hunted only yesterday Kisame. I WILL NOT leave my sister to die! You Don't know her like I do!" A small fight ensued, and I fell back asleep in my brother's arms.
"Haikri...I love you.." I felt a warm tear fall onto my nose. I felt a warm body around me. A name radiated through my thoughts. Itachi-kun... "Please wake up..please.." another tear fell onto my face. I felt him hold me tighter as his body shook. "Damian, your shift is over. Come on." I felt him shake his head no, and his long hair fall onto my face. "I won't leave you sister....Don't worry...I'm here.." He whisppered in my ear, and I smiled against his chest. I heard a door close, and I shifted, rubbing my face against his chest. He kissed the top of my head, and rocked back and forth. He sang a song in wolven, and I fell back to sleep. I needed to feel loved. To be held by someone who loved me...To be asleep in his arms. I treated my brother as Itachi for the moment, and I wanted to stay in that moment. He was my whole life in that moment....Why I was breathing..
I heard a sort of humming, and felt stunningly cold as I shifted, finding the pain from the battle before. The humming stopped, and I felt a hand on my forehead. "Shoot, still warm.." I heard hurried footsteps, and a door being flung open. I suddenly felt as if I couldn't breathe, and my hand flew to my throat. I coughed, and tried to sit up, but couldn't, finding it hard to move because both my arms were out of comission. "Haikri! Sister! Let me through! She needs me! Arhhh!" "Damian--Konan! Help!!!" I heard a frustrated yell, and the clash of blade against blade. "Go Damian!!!! Get her!" I felt a arm being put swiftly behind my shoulders, and being lifted up. Haikri: ..i..tachi.. I felt a sharp jolt of fear run through him. He put his forhead to mine. Damian: You're safe now...I won't let them hurt you anymore. "GO, DARN IT, DAMIANNN!~" Damian: Teleportation Justsu! I felt a bizzare feeling of lightness, then the normalness coming back into feeling. "What are you doing here? This isn't a --" Damian: Heal her. NOW. I don't care who, but I want her better NOW. "Hakasho! We have a emergency case!!!!! -- Hold on Sir..umm..I'll find her a cot thingy here..." Damian: No, I'll carry her. I want MEDICS HERE NOW! "HAKASHO!!! HURRY UP!!!!" I heard frantic footsteps down a hallway, and my eyes opened to see Damian's face, tear stained and a humungous wound over his nose. He was breathing heavily, and he was trembling. Damian: Sister..I found someone to help you...don't worry.. I gasped for air, and jolted painfully. "Oh My God...WE NEED MEDICS!!!!" I clung to Damian's shoulders, feeling as if I was going to explode. Damian: Calm down..Deep Breaths Sister.. It finally clicked in my mind. My baby boy. Oh My God...I was in labor.
Damian ran down the hall carrying me into a certain room, and the panicing Nurse told Damian to lay me down on a wide bed. I clung to my brother. Haikri: Please! Don't Leave me!! I need you here! Damian: I didn't plan to. I'm right here with you. It'll be ok.
~Damian~ I watched as she writhed in pain..It seemed like it was killing her. There were at least fifteen nurses in the room, some combining powers to heal her arms, and others trying to help with her childbirth. I tried to stay positive, and I kept hoild of her hand as she fought back pain and expressig it through screaming. It got to the point where I cut mental contact..I didn't wish I know what she was going through. Haikri kept asking me where Skye-chan was..'Where-where's She? Skye?!? Skye!!!!!!!' she screamed her name at one point. I kept my eyes on her face, and tried to cool her down by putting a hand on her head and chilling it. She reached up with a still bleeding arm and yelled as she tore it off. Haikri: No- I don't need help! I just need you to be here for me! Do-n't help! It continued for hours, but I stayed silent through the process. About three hours later, she leaned over to me and said, 'Thank God....Ryunosuke...Name him..Ryuno..' I brushed a lock of her dampened hair away from her mouth and kised her nose. I soon heard a crying sound, and nurses gathered around the one who held the child. The did what was needed, I turned my full attention to my sister, who groaned as she tried to sit up. A nurse yelled out- 'Stop her! She'll injure herself worse!' I grabbed her shoulders, and shook my head no. She closed her eyes, and soon her breathing slowed, and they started rolling her out of this room. Damian: Wait! What are you doing with her?!? Head Nurse: She's being moved to another room. There's blood everywhere in there. Calm down sir, You can stay with her. I sighed relief and put a hand over my eyes as I leaned against a wall. I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was too warm, like the rest of the humans. "Congratuations!...Oh..Are you ok? Can I get you something..uh-" Damian: Damian. "Mister Damian? Can I help you in some way?? " Damian: Yeah, get my sister out of here as soon as you can..our relatives are worried. "Well, we can let her out in about three days-- you see-- she's very sore and stuff, and she needs to rest, and--" Damian: She slept for five days in my arms. My Sister is a tough woman. She will recover in at most..two and a half days. She's a medic herself. I looked at my hand, seeing blood. "Well, my name's Sayuki..Can I patch that up for you?" Damian: No, I need to be catching up with Ryuno and Krin. I knew better than to use her real name..especially at the Village of the Mist Hospital. They had a lookout for us. Sayuki: Can I at least..get you a shirt..? Damian: Oh..um. If it's nesseccary here. Sayuki: Your not unsightly or anything, but you know, health reasons. I'll meet up with you later. I trotted off quickly to catch up with Haikri's nurses. Head Nurse: Sir? Did she have a name in mind for the child? We're filling out paperwork for him. Damian: We don't need papers, throw them out. Head Nurse: But- Damian: Throw them out, or I get them before we leave. Head Nurse: Alright..I'll get them to you..What is the name for her boy? She stood with a clipboard and a pen in her hand. Damian: Ryunosuke. Head Nurse: Last- Name? Damian: Let me see him. She opened a door behind her, and I spotted him among a few blue blankets. Black hair. Haikri would be i love with him. Damian: Uchiha. The Nurse looked up, a stunned look on her face. Head Nurse: U-Uch-Uchiha!??! Damian: Do you have a problem with that name? Head Hurse: N-n-no, of course not, sir! We'll have them both monitored all night, and have them up and ready to leave as soon as possible...Yeah. Damian: Can I stay in Krin's room? I need to stay with her at all times. She depends on me. Head Nurse: Of course..but, you don't look Uchian..? Damian: I'm her brother.
She pointed me in the right direction, two doors down, on the left side. I opened the door to a dark room, and I heard a few beeping sounds. I found a chair in the dark, and pulled it over next to her bed. I had trained for this. I was nervous I admit. I put my left hand over my right, and pulled chakra from my body and those around me. I used this to focus o healing her soreness and tiredness. I soon was out of breath myself, and had to rest for sometime. I realized that she inner healing powers were doing all the power into fixing her, and that I wasn't even scratching the surface of what needed to be done. I gave into sleep, tring to regain the five and a half days I had gone without resting. I bowed my head, and slept.
I awoke to a stream of light from the open door. Sayuki: Sorry for waking you Damian. I have your shirt. She held a folded shirt in her hands and walked over to me. She whispered, as if not to wake Haikri. Sayuki: Here. I took it and unfolded it, sliding it on over my head. It was the standard undershirt for the vested uniform, and I saw Sayuki blush. She was outlined with light, and I smiled. Sayuki: Your very cute you know? Where are you from? I turned my face away, and she read my pained expression. Damian: Land of Lightening...Our family isn't from all one village. Sayuki: Oh...Where do you live now? Damian: ...We're homeless. Sayuki raised a hand to her mouth. Sayuki: Oh, I'm so sorry..Um, You and your sister could stay with me for a while! I live alone and it wouldn't be a problem. I shook my head no. Damian: We need to catch up with the others. But maybe another time. I will remeber your hospotality Sayuki-kun. She blushed more at the way I said her name. Sayuki: Well, um, bye Damian-chan. She gave a small wave and left, closing the door behind her. I looked through the wall at her as some of her friends approached. I feared another Damian-kun fanclub. Yet, it was inevitable. I was deemed the 'Hottie of the Day', and all the girls congratuated Sayuki for aproaching me. The chit-chat stopped as the Head Nurse approached them, telling them to get back to work. I stared at Haikri's peaceful face, and wondered if the machines reallt had an effect on her. I was worried about Skye-chan, and Ryunosuke. I didn't like being here. I wanted out. Damian: *Haikri..? How are you?* Haikri: * I am...doing better..Where am I..?* Damian: * I brought you to The Village of Mist. Don't worry, I only gave the name Uchiha away.* She sighed a joyful sigh of relief, and a sharp pang of worry. Haikri: * I can't wait to see Ryuno..Hopefully I can get up and leave tomorrow..but I need rest right now.* Damian: *I understand. Rest Sister. I Love you.* A faint 'I love you too' sounded as I withdrew from her mind. I went back to sleep, aware that the young nurses were fighting over the little window at the top of the door. I smirked, and chuckled under my breath. Damian: *I'm a uncle...February...I'm an uncle...*
~Haikri~
I awoke early, and watched my brother sleep. A girl woke him up, and told him that he could bring the child to me. A few minutes later, Damian was back, smiling and holding a bundle of white blankets in his arms. Haikri: Come here brother! Don't tease me this way~! He walked over to me and laid Ryunosuke in my arms, and I remarked at how much he looked like his father...my Itachi. His black hair stood out against the pale skin, and he smiled at me with his eyes. Ryuno: * Mommy.* He reached forward, and he wrapped his hands in my hair, feeling it. Haikri: Yes, that's hair, my Ryunosukkeee... I laughed with Damain. Haikri: Can we leave? I don't want to stay here...I feel uneasy. Damian:Here, hand him here and see if you can stand. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, and stood up slowly, not feeling as sore as I had expected. Haikri: I'm good-- just no running or anything and I'll be fine. Damian: If you think so. Sayuki-kun? Sayuki: Yes? Can I help? Damian: We need all Ryuno's papers and records. Sayuki: Sure! Be right back Damian-chan! I raised an eyebrow. Haikri: -Chan? Someone has a new fangirl? Damian: Unfournatley... He looked stronger now, a bit more grown up..I worried for him. He wanted the best for me, and I knew that--he loved me. I said nothing about his efforts to heal me, seeing it as a subject not to touch on. H walked over to me, and stood beside me, an arm behind my back, Ryuno in the other. I reached for him, and he compromised to letting me hold him. He was so small, nothing I was used to. His eyes constantly wandered around the room, and then back to me, asking questions. I ignored his questions and just..looked at him. His eyes were warmer blue than mine, with a hint of red and brown. His black hair was soft. In my mind, I wanted him to my Itachi again. Then I realized that this can't be, that he's my Ryuno. Sayuki came back into the room with a sort of small book that was binded together, and few orange pill bottles. She handed the book to Damian because I wasn't paying any attention and my hands were full. He looked through it. Damian: This is all of it huh? Sayuki: Yes, it was all I could find. And I deleted you from our computers. So, I guess your ready to go?? Haikri: Yes..I'd like to leave. Sayuki: Well, that's fine with me.. I grabbed a few pain killers for you just in case you need them. She handed these to Damian as well. Haikri: Thank you.. Sayuki smiled, then frowned. Sayuki: You'll come back one day and visit right Damian-chan? Damian forced a smile. Damian: Depends on if the wind blows us your way. I will try to see you again Sayuki-kun. Her face lit up with joy. Sayuki: Then good luck, and goodbye! Krin- Damian-chan- little Ryunosuke! She waved and left the room. Haikri: Your coming back to see her? Damian: I don't know. Haikri: It doesn't bother me any. You need to get a life anyway. Damian: Hey! I laughed. Haikri: Just playing with you. He stood taller than me now, as I soon realized. He wrapped his arms around me, and put his head over mine. Damian: Let's go home.. We dissappeared from the room, leaving no trace that we had arived or departed. It took a few minutes to travel the distance back to the Akatsuki, but I could wait to see Skye. I had made up in my mind that I was going to revert back to my original form to take take of Ryuno..and shift him to his wolven form as well. I could tell there was more wolven than Uchiha in him. He would learn to go back to human on his own later. Damian teleported us to the front door, and unlocked it. I walked inside, carefull not to trip over anything. I was slower than usuall. Haikri: Where is Skye..? I looked up at Damian. Damian: She's probably out hunting..Or she's looking for us. Haikri: *Skye-san!!! Speak to me!!* No response. Haikri: D-Damian...I can't find her...! My little boy wriggled in my arms, worried. Damian: You're just weak-- Let me search for her. He stood straight up and shapeshifted into his wolven form. Damian: * I will return. Wait here.* He pushed open the door with his nose and ran outside. As soon as he passed through the invisiblity forcefield, he dissappeared into the woods. I closed the door and locked it. I walked over to the couch. I laid Ryuno on the floor, and put a finger to my lips. Haikri: Shhh. I need you to be quiet right now Ryunosuke musuko.. I stepped a bit away from him, and shapeshifted back to my orginial form, most of my pain going away. Ryunosuke rolled his head around to look at me. I shook, and streched out. He reached for me, and I walked over and oput my nose in his hands. Ryunosuke: * I wanna be like Mommy.* I focused some of chakra into his hands, and he shifted into a beautiful black pup. His ears and tail were a dark blue. His pink nose stood out among the darker colors. He lay on the floor, his tiny paws up in the air swating playfully at my ears. He whined and barked joyfully until I pulled my head up. He quickly became silent, and rolled over, attempting to sit up like I was. He yawned, and stuck his tounge out a little. I knew he was getting sleepy. And hungry. Haikri: * Stay Here.* I repeated it two more times until Ryuno laid back down, his head on his paws. I ran off through the hideout, checking every room. I stopped at the first one, staring at the blood stained walls. It wasn't human..or wolven. Large gashes in the walls proved something else. Shard. They had fought with Shard. I walked into the room and smelled the blood on the walls. Most of it was Her's and Pein's.. I came to a conclusion. Shard's in criticallt conditon...and She's running from her own family. I whined in mourning, and rubbed up against the wall with most of her blood. I stayed there for as long as I could, then went on. The rooms were empty, no one was present. Had they all have gone after Shard? Damian: *Sister!* I ran back to the front of the building, and to Ryunosuke, who was now asleep. Haikri: *Damian! What did you see??* Damian: *The've moved on! Shard's not with them. They have Konan looking for her. Wait at the base and I'll come pick you up.* Haikri: *No! Where is she??!* Damian: * I told you! I don't know! Wait there! * I ran back to Ryuno, and nudged him awake. Haikri: *I need you to be brave for me right now alright musuko??* Ryuno yawned again. Ryunosuke: *Ok.* I laid down, shoving him onto my back. Ryuno: *? Mommy!* Haikri: *Shhh musuko..just hold on to me. I won't let you fall I promise.* As he settled at the base of my neck inbetween my shoulders, I enforced the air around him with chakra so he wouldn't tumble down. I felt his timy claws digging into my back. I pushed open te door, and ran outside. Haikri: *Damian, where are you?!?* Damian: *Get back inside! NOW!!* Haikri: *No! Where are you??!* Damian cursed, and howled. I moved quickly towards the sound. I strained myself to run faster. Damian: * Shinobi! Don't go to the west! Head straight north!*
I stopped for a split second and plunged into a new direction. I soon heard a faint yelling, and then rapid footsteps. The trees above me shook, and I breathed heavily, running out of strength. I heard a scream above me, and feirce snarling. A body fell to the ground. Damian followed it, and broke the person's neck, soon catching up to me.He pushed against my side in a new direction. He gave a sharp bark, and I tried to speed up. Something caught my leg and I was pulled backwards. I yelped and whinned in pain. Damian turned back and stood in front of me. He tried finding the line, but it was made of chakra, and it was hard for him to ditect. I wriggled, standing awkwardly. Hairi: *Hold on Ryuno! Don't worry...* He whinned - afraid of what had happened. Damian stood his ground, and I saw his fur stand on end as he bore his massive teeth. Fifteen Shinobi surrounded us, and I stared at one that was to my left. I thought I remebered the face. Blue hair...Who had blue hair.. She was holding the chakra string in her hand. She trembled at the sight of Damian, and stepped backwards in fear. I heard a sharp yell at her, and she nodded her head. Shinobi: Sen! Get a hold on yourself! Serenity!!! Thoughts ran through my mind..Should I plead to her for safety? Or did she know my secrect?! I stayed silent, tearing at the invisible thread. Damian's deep wolven voice rang out. He never spoke like this to anyone. Damian: Let us pass humans! Do not Anger the Gods! He snarled, walking around me and staring at them. Their leader cringed. His group suddenly had no faith in him. Leader: Hold your ground! Damian: Do you wish to be dismembered?!? Flee for your lives! The wind blew and the ninja watched Damian intently. The moment seemed serene..calm. One of the Shinobi fell to the ground, out cold. The leader put out a hand not to move. Damian: What business do you have with the Wolves!? Speak! Leader: We seek that one- and her child! Hand her over! MY voice was vicious and cold. Haikri: You shall not have my child you filthy humansss!!!!!!!! My eyes lit up yellow, and their leader shouted. Leader: Brace yourselves! More lines on the blue one! I snapped out at the throwers of the chakra lines until I was pinned to the ground. Damian leap to the Leader, and tore into his flesh. He yelled in pain and pulled out a kuni, plunging it into Damian's shoulder. Leader: What are you fools doing!?!? Get that thing out of here! Haikri: Touch me or my son and I will bite off your head!!! I snarled, in rage. Another rope was thrown over my mouth. Suddenly I saw another figure appear. My eyes narrowed. Kakashi stood in a nearby tree along with Naruto. Kakashi: Move out! Naruto, I'm leaving Damian for you! While my attention was focused on my former father I felt a sharp stab of pain in my shoulder. I snapped the line around my my mouth and closed my jaw on the arm of another Shinobi. Murderers!..filty humanss! Traitors! Threat! A shinobi filled the injured ninja from my reach. Kakashi mummbled a few words, and a metal cage formed around me and Ryuno. Kakshi: Let's go- Use your chakra to lift it! Don't use your hands unless you wish to lose them! They ran from Damian and Naruto. I heard a scream behind us. Haikri: Tsuyu! Brother! I thrashed around, only worried about getting away with my Ryuno. I heard a closer yell. Shinobi: Akatsuki! Take cover! I turned in my cage to see Sasuke and his Gang- Karin, Jugo, and Suigetso. Suigetso proceeded to chop people into peices while Sasuke wroked his way through the remaining Shinobi. Karin and Jugo took them out from the inside and providing forcefields for they're comrade and leader. Sasuke: Your always in trouble aren't you, Haikri-san? Haikri: If your guessing that this will make up for what you've done to my family--your wrong. He seemed surprised I wasn't screaming in his head. Sasuke: Ah, so now you talk aloud? He spun and slit a throat of another Shinobi. He reached My cage and melted the metal so I could escape inbetween the bars. Kakashi put a kuni to his throat, but Sasuke took his arm and twisted it backwards, kicking him in the stomach as sending him into a nearby tree. He held onto his right arm and didn't get back up. Haikri: You should've killed him. Sasuke: Wasn't worth the time. Jugo! Go help Mr. Wolven over there. I'm sure he'd like some help. Jugo: Yes, Sir. He bent the bars further and stepped back to disable the chakra strings. I jumped out quickly as the metal box fell down to the ground with a loud thud. Suigetso finished off a Shinobi and watched as one last one escaped into the woods. Suigetso: Who said your allowed to leave? Sasuke: Leave him Suigetso. We have done what we need to. I ran for my brother, and found him blood stained and limbing from the kuni in his shoulder. I pulled it out with my teeth, and he tensed up, whinning a little. We said no thanks to Sasuke or his followers. Haikri: Where is Skye? Have you seen her? Karin: Last I saw her she was at the new base. I gave her a cold stare. Haikri: I wasn't asking you young one. Sasuke: ... I searched Sasuke's mind for the location of the hideout and found it easily. Haikri: You need to strengthen your mind Sasuke. It was too easy to find the information I needed. He stayed silent and looked at Ryunosuke, who was nestled deep in my long fur. It was calming srene look, which seemed of no harm at the moment. I stared at him, giving a warning glare. Sasuke: I have a new sort of brother.. He muttered under his breath. Haikri: And this one will avenge his father. Damian brushed up against me. Damian: * Teleportation Jutsu. * Sasuke watched as we dissappeared. Karin: I really dislike that Haikri girl. What does she have against you anyways, Sasuke-kun? He turned and looked at Karin intently, turning and stopping. Sasuke: I murdered her son's father. I killed her husband of a sort. Karin: ..Oh... She went silent. Suigetso laughed. Suigetso: I'm surprised you let that woman push you around! You could have easily disposed of her Sasuke-chan! Sasuke, who started walking again didn't turn his head to the words, but kept walking. Sasuke: You don't know her... Jugo warned Suigetso to get out of the conversation quickly. He knew Sasuke didn't like to mention me or anyone related to Zirra-chan. Jugo: He still regrets not saving her Suigetso..Leave him be. He whispered under his breath.

We arrived at the Akatsuki base, and my feet sunk gently into the soft snow. The remains of the snow from earlier had not melted yet, and I liked the feel of it compared to dry ground. Damian returned to his human form and stared at me to return to mine. I shook my head no. He gave a worried look, but went ahead to opened the door as I stood in the snow. He looked back at me, and sighed. I ried to read his thoughts, but his mind was blocked. He opened the door for me, and I stepped up onto the concrete porch, and inside. Ryunosuke slipped off my back, and wobbled on the floor, taking big wide steps. Damian smiled, and scooped him up in his arms, turning him on his back. Damian: A little too much adventure for a young pup today.. He stroked his nose, and he yawned, curling his pink tounge up in his mouth. He watched as Ryunosuke's eyes closed peacefully. I huffed with satisfaction. I was tired- I had to admit. I yawned a quick yawn as well, showing all my teeth. I stretched forward and backward again, wanting to sleep but knowing I couldn't. I was worried about Skye, and Ryunosuke. I looked around me. Haikri: Konan? I was too worn out to try mental connection. She walked around a corner holding a box in her hand. She dropped it, and ran over to hug me. I let out a warning growl as she reached for my head. Haikri: Please- Keep your distance Konan-san..I'm not in the mood right now to be cuddled..I need a favor of you. Konan: O-ok? Haikri: I need you to watch over Ryuno for me while I'm gone..I need to hunt. Konan: Ryuno? Who's Ryu- I looked at her pleadingly, and she understood in an instant. Koan: Of course!~ I'd love to! Haikri: Damian has him..Have fun. I walked off slugishly as Damian handed Ryunosuke over to her. Damian: Where are you going Tsuki? Haikri: Hunting. Come if you wish. I pushed to door back open, and stalked outside. Damian soon followed after me. Damian: * Do you want me to search for Shard?* I nodded yes, and he took off, invisible with speed. I opened my mind to search the land for the prey I seeked. A heard of large deer resided ahead, and It was getting to be dark. It was about five miles, and they were settled for the night. I walked to the destination, and tricked a buck into walking in my direction, then quieting his calling for what he thought was a female deer. Let's just say he found out I wasn't a deer. I ate my fill and left some for the scavengers. I headed back to the base in another direction, making my way further southwest. I just felt tired of going in one direction..Of having to bhe somewhere for someone. I wanted to run away from it al, or be killed. I felt that way that night. I couldn't find purpose for me other than to bring attention to myself and those I loved. Damian: * I found her. She needs your help. * I saw the picture of his location, but I took my time for some reason, not sensing any urgence in his voice. I made the effort to run the last distance to get there though. Shard was on the ground, dragging a wing along the ground. She hung her head low, and hissed. Shard: *Don't heal me! I will survive on my own!* Haikri: *Alright. Sure. Go ahead. Damian, she looks fine to me, lets leave. * Damian growled in anger. Damian: * Sister! You can't just let her suffer like this! * Haikri: *Oh yes I can! Watch me!* I turned tail and walked calmly off into the woods. Shard turned her head to my departure and coughed a little. She shapeshifted to her human form, and drug herself towards my general direction. Damian leaned up against her, but she attempted to push him away. Skye: I'll find my own way back... Damian: * I won't leave you. * Skye: Listen to me! Your sister needs you right now. Go! She succeeded on pushing him towards the thicker woods. Damian whinned. Damian: * I can't leave you. I'm sorry. Can I at least get you to get up onto my back? You can ride.* She nearly fell over, and Damian caught her before she fell in human form. Skye: You really need to learn how to create a shirt for shapeshifts- That's just- way to much gorgeousness to be showing off at once. He laughed. Damian: Your halucinating about that. Come on. I'll give you a piggy back ride. He pulled her up onto his back and She put her arms around his neck loosely. Damian: Legs up. He slid his arms beind her legs and walked after me. Skye fell asleep while on his back, and Damian smiled with accomplishing getting her back to the base. I waited at the front door for them and pushed the door open with my nose for Damian. He found her room and laid her down on her bed. I stood in the doorway. Haikri: You don't have a thing for her do you? Damian looked at me in anger. Damian: What would it matter to you if I did? I shook my head. Haikri: Nothing really. I just wanted to know so I could leave. You know- Supervision and stuff. Damian: Haikri!~ I chuckled. Haikri: Kidding, Kidding! I troted off looking for my Ryuno and Konan, leaving Damian to take care of Skye. I honestly didn't want to talk to her, only was worried that she had been killed earlier. I nticed Iwas in an uncaring sort of mood tonight. I convinced myself I'd feel better tomorrow. Konan was in her room reading a book while Ryuno was asleep in a pile of blankets she had gathered. She looked up at me and smiled. I gave a smile back, which I'm sure disturbed her a bit since I was a wolf. My legs stood taller than her bed, and I bent my neck over and grabbed my boy by the back of his neck with my teeth. Konan looked worried and distressed. Haikri: * It doesn't hurt him.Don't worry. * She sighed relief and went back to reading as I walked quietly out of the room. Damian found me in the hallway, an showed me my room, but I wasn't happy with it. The plain white walls and no sorce of light made me a little sick. It wasn't Itachi's room. It wasn't our room. I was torn into two peices inside, whimmpering at the fact that my favourite window was gone. I wasn't allowed to go back to see it one last time. Damian saw me slump, and my head drop lower as I walked further into the room. Sure, they had all of our things here, but..it just wasn't it. Damian: I'm..sorry. He whispered, and bowed his head to me, pulling the door. I turned completely around and watched him. I sat Ryuno down and whinned at him, trotting towards him. He let go of the door and opened his arms to me, and I ran into them, putting my head over his shoulder. My body trembled. He rocked me back and forth, and tried to comfort me for what I had lost of him, but it wouldn't help. A tear flowed into my fur and dissappeared. Damian: I'll be here for you..Don't worry. Haikri: Please don't say that..He said that for me..I don't want the same curse befalling you.. Damian: I love you Sister. You can't deny that. Haikri: I never imagined treating you as my older brother Damian...I love you more than anything right now. I backed away, and put a paw to my face, rubbing my eyes. Damian: Sleep. You need it. He stood back up, and finally closed the door behind him. Damian: I love you... I choked, unable to breathe. After a while I turned back to Ryunosuke and carried him up to the bed and laid him beside me ro keep him warm during the cold of the night. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I awoke to the feeling of Ryuno rubbing up against my warm belly, and just lay there, not wanting to face another day alone. I stayed still, not wanting to wake Ryunosuke most his much need sleep. Yet, I wasn't used to this small wolf clinging to me. He wasn't like shard, whom I had known forever. I tried to sleep again, but it would came to me. I sat up a little and looked lazily at Ryunosuke. I was worried about Skye. I could sense she was awake and in pain. From what I could tell, it was still early morning. I licked Ryunosuke's head, and this woke him up a little. Haikri: Do not fear musuko..I shall return soon. He gave a unconscious sigh, and I got up and stepped off the bed. I pushed the warm blankets nearer to him in my place, then walked to the door. I opened the door with chakra, and walked out, closing the door behind me softly with my tail. This hideout had shorter hallways, and it made me confused to where the rooms where. Of course, they didn't move the building as planned...they just transfered to another. I found Skye's room and pushed the door open, hearing her groan in pain. Haikri: *Alright, Docs here. What's wrong with the patient?* Skye: She's in major pain, ok?! Haikri: * Can I heal you now, Miss 'Oh, I'll survive on my own by bleeding to death'? * Skye: I didn't say that. Just- heal me will you?!? I chuckled, walking up to her bed side. She wrapped her arms around my head, and I could feel her pain. I pulled backwards a little from it. Haikri: *What happened?! * Skye: P-Pein...I was.. fighting so Damian could get you away to heal you somehow... I started to work on her injuries quickly-- Ryuno was alone and vunerable. I checked in with his mind every few minutes. After an hour, Skye's breathing slowed, and she was feeling much better. Haikri: * I have to leave. Ryuno needs me. I'll heal the rest of you later.* She just nodded her head and rolled back over, falling asleep as I left. I ran down the hall and opened the door, seeing Ryuno at the edge of the bed, wagging his tail playfully at me. I left the door open for light, and walked over to the edge of the bed. Ryuno looked up at me, falling backwards from the height as he stood on his backlegs. I laughed, and licked the side of his face. Ryuno: * Ew, Mommy! * I smiled. Haikri: Shh. Ryuno: * I'm hungry.. * I stopped at looked at him. He whinned. I grabbed him by the neck, and took him out of the room. Damian: Where are you going? I looked around. Haikri: * Hunting. He's hungry and he needs to be shown how. * Damian: * I'm going with you. I haven't eaten in a few nights..* I walked on out the door. After a ways away I ran, picking up the trail of another herd of deer. Damian smelt it too, and sped up with me. We ran for a good while- they were in the northern mountains. After a good while I heard Ryuno's stomach rumble. Haikri: * Just a little longer young one. * Ryuno: * Ok.. * Damian gave a low bark and we slowed at the edge of a clearing. A river flowed through the center, and towards us. I set Ryuno down in the grass. Haikri: * Listen to me. Don't make a sound. And Don't move from here or I won't be able to find you. Stay here. * Ryuno barked and wagged his tail. Haikri: *Watch closely.* Ryuno climbed up onto a higher rock, and looked at me. Ryuno: * Ok.* I sped off with Damian, circling the group. The largest buck raised his head from the grass, and looked around his herd. Haikri: * I'm going for the younger group. * Damian: * They're fast. * Haikri: * I know. But Ryuno doesn't need that much. * Damian: * I'm going for the largest I can get my teeth into... * He licked his lips. They caught our scent as we closed in, and I saw a mother with her child. A feeling of guilt touched me as I targeted her as my prey. Damian: * What are you doing??! Get going! * I took off from my stalking position. The mother was slow, her son could not stay with her. I tackled the mother with all my force, throwing her to the ground. She trashed, but it soon ended as my jaws closed around her windpipe, ceasing airflow. She became still, and her baby stood there, crying for help. I drug his mother away, and he followed. I descided to spare the younger one.. Possibly keep him as a pet for Ryuno. These deer were large enough to ride, and their antlers twistedd together like the northern elk my parents had preyed on when I was younger. I spoke to him gently. Haikri: * I am your mother now. Stay with me young one. * It looked frightened by Ryuno, who swatted at his legs. Haikri: RYUNO! The small deer flinched and ran around me. I growled at Ryuno. He lay down in the grass, rolling over to show his belly. I gave him an angered glare. Haikri: Be nice to him! He will be useful later. You'll see. Ryuno: * Eat him? * I shook my head no. Haikri: Your friend. Ryuno: * Oh.. Eat? * I tore a peice of meat off the mother deer after I blinded the faun with my chakra. Haikri: * Now, yes.* I tore off a smaller peice for him and laid it at his feet. He held it down and chewed on it like I did, except I swallowed mine. Ryuno: * It's hard to chew, mommy.* I chewed up a peice of mine, and gave it to him, then continued with my meal. I did that several times so he could swallow it. I had to agree with him- this meat was tough. Damian stood into our eating place, as playful as ever. He had gotten was he wanted. A huge buck. Haikri: * You won't finish that. You'll just waste him. * Damian: * No I won't. The extra meat I'm cutting off and storing in the fridge so you don't have to bring him out so much. * Haikri: * and then when he's at your age, he won't know how to hunt. Yeah sure. I appreciate the offer. * Damian: * Your welcome. What's with the faun? * Haikri: * I'm keeping him for Ryuno. They last longer than the horses. and they can grow up together. * Damian: * If Ryuno doesn't eat him first. * Haikri: * Damian! * He snickered as he laid down, ripping flesh off of his catch. I finished mine, and left Ryuno with Damian to wash the blood out of my fur. Konan didn't like me to come back with blood all over me. Or the smell of rotting flesh. It came out easily, since it was still fresh. I drank a bit while I was there. As I did, I saw a paw land in front of me. * It's been quiteawhile. * I looked up, water dripping from my face. Rei stood there, looking at me. He was a foot taller than me, but I still was stronger. Haikri: * Why are you here? * I turned to leave, but he caught my tail with his teeth. Rei: * These are my hunting grounds. I never expected to find such a beautiful single wolven all alone out today. * I turned at bit at his face. Haikri: * Let go! * He did so, and I kept walking, holding my head high. He followed me, and I kept silence, paying no attention to his pathetic existance. Rei: * You look healthy.. How have you been, my love? * I sprung on him, tackling im onto his back on the ground. Haikri: You refused to have me, I refuse to keep you- you- you SCUM! I snarled, showing all my teeth. Rei: * Fiesty. * Haikri: PERV! I jumped off him, running back to my kill. Damian looked up form the bloody mess. Haikri: * Rei's here. I'm leaving. Pack up the remaining meat for us Damian. You have nothing better to do today. Come Ryuno. * I picked him up in my mouth, and trotted off, the small faun struggling to stay with me. I unblinded him. Damian sighed, and went back to eating. A ways off, I used my Teleportation Jutsu so Rei could not track us. I appeared at the door, and unlocked, setting Ryuino inside. Haikri: Go to your room. I shall return. I nudged the deer around the building, and used my chakra to construct a small lean-to for it, and a fence around it. This area was still shrouded with the invisibilty cloak, so he was safe. I pushed him into the gate, and closed it behind me. He trotted back up to me. Deer: * Don't leave me..* Haikri: * Shh. I will return later, and you can follow me inside later. You will understand in good time. * He needed a name, and I knew Ryunosuke wasn't old enough to name him properly. Haikri: *You are to be called Shiro. * Shiro: * Don't leave. The small one may return..* He pranced in place. Haikri: * He is your brother. He is Ryunosuke. Adress him with respect, Shiro musuko... * It felt odd to be speaking to a deer. Shiro bowed his head. Haikri: * What is your age, musuko? * Shiro: * ...Almost one. * Haikri: * Thank you. This helps a bit. Shiro, soon you will meet your brother directly. Wait here for me. * Shiro: * Yes, Mother. * I could tell this would work fairly well. He was old enough to be accountable for. Meaning he could help me. He was mearly ltraveling with his mother for convince. I walked back inside. Haikri: * Wow..they leave their mothers quite early..* I was getting tired of being wolven. It was hard on me to get around like the humans did around me. I shifted back into a human, feeling a little better movement wise. The taste of raw meat still lingered in my mouth. It didn't bother me, but it was odd in human form. I walked into my room, and Ryuno was attempting to get up onto the bed. Haikri: Not so fast Ryunosuke musuko. Your face is still bloodly. He looked up at me as I scooped him up. I held him both arms, he was getting bigger already. The wolvens grew very large, and grew rapidly. Within the next few months, he would be catching up to Oruki's size. By the age of one, he would be considered to be age ten. It was difficult to differenciate between human years and the wolven. I walked down the hall to the sink, setting Ryuno on the counter. I filled the large sink with water. Ryunosuke: *What are you doing, Mommy? * Hairki: * Warming water for a bath. You're getting it. * He whinned, stepping away from the water. He had no idea what a bath was, but he was instantly afraid. I laughed. Haikri: You need to be clean to meet your new half-brother. I picked himup and lowered him into the water. He put his paws up on the side. His eyes were wide. He was standing on his toes to breath. I let out a bit of water. Ryuno: * I don't like. * Haikri: I know. It'll be over soon. I took the soap off the counter, and put some in the palm of my hand, rubbing him down with it. His nostrils flared. Ryuno: * It smells funny. * Haikri: Almost done. Hold on. I turned on the water, and hosed him down, getting all the soap out of his fur. He shivered from the cold air. I got a towel from under the sink, and lifted him out with it, not wanting to get my shirt wet. I took him to my room where I grabbed a bigger towel to wrap him in. I rubbed him down, attempting to get him dry without chakra. I sat him on the floor. Haikri: Stand still. I blew at him. A large gust of air dryed him. His eyes were wide again. He looked like a puff ball. He walked like it too. I laughed as he plodded after me to Skye's room. I knocked on her door. Skye: Come in! I opened the door, smiling. Haikri: Hey girlie. How are you? Skye: Feeling better, thanks to you. Haikri: I hope you don't mind a visitor. Skye looked around me. Skye: Who? Ryuno plodded in front of me, and to the side of Skye's bed. I kept my eye focus on her. He put his paws up, but couldn't jump high enough to reach her. Skye: Well, Miss Mysterious? A tiny bark sounde
