Yep. I'm gonna be sixteen in like 9 days. (July 12th) I should be excited. But I'm not. Not in a good way, anyway. I want to have a party with my friends, rather than my family for once. And the only place where I can have the party is at my grandparents' house. And, for the first time in 4 years, they're letting me have a party there!!!!

But, there's a problem. I don't know who is coming. Yoder, Maci, Topher, and Scriven are the prime guests. If I can get all of them to come, I'm going to have what'll probably be the greatest birthday I've had out of my 16 years of living. But there is another problem.

If I can't get at least 3 people to come, the party's a no go. Maci and Yoder are VERY likely to go. But, Scriven's got family affairs to attend to and Topher doesn't want to be at my grandparents'. Thing is, we're all gonna be upstairs and probably having an excellent time. I'm bringing my Wii, PS2 games, we can go swimming, there's gonna be a big pizza, we can watch a movie, and hell, maybe we can go doorbell ditch my cousin.

And, when I usually have a birthday, I either have it by myself or with my mom. When my mom sets it up, NOTHING goes right and it ends up shitty. When I have one alone, there's no party whatsoever....

I REALLY want to have a good 16th birthday. And I'm going through all this trouble to set it up. Mostly because I want it to be a memorable birthday. I know it's just celebrating the date of my birth, but it's like a tradition to me that I have a party for my birthday.

Maybe I'm just setting my expectations too high...

The party's gonna be next weekend, but I have some things to worry about

A) Getting Topher to come
B) Getting Scriven to come
C) What if people make plans before I have the party?
D) What if the party is really boring?
E) What if nobody else likes the party?

Yeah, I'm setting high expectations that are probably gonna fall down. All I can do is PRAY TO GOD nothing goes wrong.... Although stuff usually does,...
