Chapter 13
We left the state that night heading south west to Colorado. We were outside again under a tree in a field. The sun was out without a cloud in the sky. Me, Shade and Rogue were under a tree cards in hand. We finnaly got that pack of cards and were now playing poker. We bet the money we had got from our..uh..job.
Yeah right! We're theives that's our job. At the moment Rogue was winning. I was in second with Shade dirt poor. He had lost most of his stash and was now betting servitude to get his money back.
I had a pretty good plan but from the grin Shade was trying to hide he had a better one. a*****e. "I'm in" I said. I'd call his bluff.
"Me too" Shade said. Rogue pushed his chips in his expression never changing.
"Three of a kind" I said.
"Full house" Shade said grinning. He started taking chips when Rogue put down a royal straight flush. "God dammit!" Shade said pounding his head against the tree's trunk.
"How's it going?" Echo asked laughing. She was braiding Flare's hair which had been growing a lot in the past few weeks. From the laughing we did the answer was clear. Ray was laughing so hard he fell out of the tree. Shade was banging his head on the tree repeatedly until he was dizzy and fell on the ground.
I laughed again then stiffened. There was a new smell on the air. I smelled the air again a few times and stood.
"What is it?" Echo asked. Rogue became wary next to me.
"Nothing" I said. "Just paranoid." I gave the clearing a look around then shrugged to myself.
We stayed there until the sun was setting and ate a quick dinner. I was about to tell them about Darren's report when I felt strong hands grab me. I struggled but then felt a cloth go over my mouth.
My eyes started to close and I knew we'd been caught. I cursed my lack of paying attention as I passed out.

I was woken up by a splash of cold water to my face. I gasped looking around. I found out three things in about three seconds. 1.) My hands were bound behind my back by something. Probally rope. 2.) I was in a dungeon of sorts because it was pitch black and the floor and walls were made of concrete. 3.) and probally most important was that I wan't alone.
"Wake up, Phase" I blinked because I knew that voice. I looked up in disbeleif at Echo. She stood over me bucket in hand a delighted smile on her face.
"Echo? What are you doing here? How'd we get here?" I asked then a darker question came to me. "Why aren't you tied up?" Fear started creeping in on me but I didn't give in.
"Don't you know Phase?" she asked. She let loose a dry laugh. "You've been had. Me, Shade, Flare all of us have been working for Alabasta crop. since the begining.
