Chapter 16

The eight of us left the field and checked into a hotel. We were all in a single room just hanging out. Now came the hard part. We had to explain what the heck just happened to Flare, Ray, Yumi, Rogue, and Shade. See the thing was Only me, Echo, and Darren knew about the whole thing.

It was really a group plan that me and Echo had come up with. It had been basicaly handing me over to Alabasta Corp. Rogue had orginally been with Albasta Corp. and was sent to join my group as a spy.

After a few days after he joined he told us he was a spy but said he'd join us instead. Course back then we didn't know about Albasta Corp. Rogue had just known he was a spy. Now let's remember this was when me and Faint were about eight.

He still gave them false reports every few weeks after that before stopping for good. When he joined up again with new recurits (i.e. Echo, Ray, Flare, and Shade) and me as prisoner they welcomed openly. Sad really. The hard part tho was making sure that Echo played her part revealing it all to me and how I reacted to it.

Being a thief you learned to lie and act better then most people. The pain I expressed was real tho cause all I had to do was remember when Faint died and feel that pain again.

If you ask me tho it was waaaay too complicated for my taste but hey it worked. My transformation was an unexpected bonus but it worked. By now my hair had turned back to black but everything had stayed changed.

Shade was pissed that we hadn't filled him in on the plan. Flare and Ray didn't care tho. They were just happy they were on my side again. And honestly so was I. I didn't like the idea of fighting my friends and thankfully I didn't have to. Tho I woulda fought Shade for a round or two.

"Yumi how's the shouldar?" I asked sitting next to her.

"Fine now" she said rubbing her collar. I nodded wrapping my arms around her neck smiling.

"So what now?" Flare asked. Her hair had been completly braided now and at the end was a thin circlet which swung around like whip sometimes.

"Dunno" I said. "Probally the same old routine. Run around the country, steal stuff, take down Alabasta corp. The usual."

"Alright!" Shade said. "Back to normal" As normal as we got at least.

"What about you, Darren?" Echo asked.

"I'm going back to my place" he said. "Got a bunch of cilent orders on hold plus we need at least someone who's planing ahead"

"Shut up" I said. "Fine then bro guess this is it for now" I shook his hand as we both grinned. Everyone else in the room was half gaping or surprised.

"Your Brothers?" Shade asked breaking the silence.

"Yep" I said. Rogue started laughing with me and Darren. Soon the rest of us were laughing together in the fun.

Hey don't think this is over yet. There's still a lot more stuff left to tell you about so be patient for the next installment of my life "Thief Kings" Yep we're using Ray's name idea as a story name.
