I knew that the only thing that I could do as this point was try to save face with this women, and so rising from the chair I walked over to her with the biggest smile that I could muster and extended my hand towards her. For a brief second she merely looked at it, like she wasn't sure exactly what she should do with. I couldn't be sure but for an instant the it looked like the world got blurry, as if one of those old time television had gone all fuzzy from loss of reception. It was only for a split second, so I couldn't be sure if what I had seen was real or not. So once again I shook my head. Thinking that maybe it was time that I stopped taking so many hours at work.
I turned my face back towards the attending nurse, and this time she smiled back and shook my hand, all trace of the confusion that had been on it a second ago was gone, maybe I had imagined that too, I wasn't completely sure. Her had was warm and soft, it was all I could do not to stroke it. It reminded me so much of the Alisha's hands that it was uncanny. "Hello my name is Mckenzie, my father has told me so much about you." she said in that soft murmur of a voice.
"All good things, I hope" I said before even realizing that I had said it. When she laughed, it sounded like she was singing, was this women for real? She was acting like something come straight out of my dreams. Again I caught myself gawking at her figure, enomered with her after only a few minutes.
