My smile is just a mask that I wear
A mask that is rarely removed
Hidden behind it, is the real me
The sides that few see

Tears that I cry
So sad and lonely
Keeping me from the world
These tears are always real

It feels like no one is here for me
No one can comfort
Or change the way I feel
Except the one, the one who left

The fire we started
It will always burn in me
My heart can not change my mind
But my mind could change my heart

Wind surrounds me, like a friend
A friend I've long missed
But even friends can cause pain
For my heart, crumbles in the wind.

Unconditional love
so rare, so pure
We find it but once

One chance to be happy,
one life to live

so many fears
so many ways to make mistakes
so many chances to fail

Too many faults,
yet you overlook them all
See the true me,
reflected in your eyes

Your eyes
So full of love
I could drown,
lost in the color

Your arms draw me near
So safe and warm,
I never want to leave
Hold me a few moments more

This love feels so real
So please, don't leave me here
to be all alone
with your memory
to keep me company

This love is yours and mine
forever
unconditionally
I hope that it's you
Or my heart will break,
crumble in your hands
The hands that I could trust
betray.

These were written to help me get over someone... *sighs* A few people know who that was. I've got a few lines of another poem started... but still workin' on it.
sweatdrop I know what ya'll are gonna say... these are both alone the same lines. My poems tend to be that way. Like my two poems "Words on the page" and "Poetry is an art". I think I've already posted "Poetry is an art" but I'm pretty sure that "Words on the page" isn't in here. I'll put them in sometime later.... 'till then,
