You were walking down the street,
a large black jacket,
draped across your shoulders,
a white mask covered one side of your face,
while the other was shown freely,
it was raining,
you love the rain,
the only time you can cry without others noticing,
but how you wish it could wash away all your lies,
you stopped,
you noticed someone on the sidewalk,
you walked closer,
curiosity always got the better of you,
it was her,
it a long red dress,
soaking wet from the rain,
you feel a pang of guilt in your chest,
you walk over to her,
and stand in front of her,
she doesn't look up,
you grab an umbrella from your side,
and open it up,
she leans closer,
shivering greatly,
and moves her eyes to look at you,
she examines your face before speaking,
"Why won't...you tell me who you are?"
you stare down at her,
hoping she can't read your eye,
doesn't seem like she can,
but do you wish her to,
you find it funny that,
even when you show some of yourself to her,
you still doesn't know who you are,
your mouth opens,
"In due time, Mi Amore,
you must have patience."
you take her hand and leave the umbrella with her,
and with that you leave,
letting the hourglass keep running,
and letting this chase,
continue,
though you know,
you can't win,
this is a game,
you just love playing.
