"Gilroy we have to get out of here. Now."
Gilroy can't help but smile at the other man's voice then grimace lightly in pain.
"What the-" Michael's voice for an instant seemed shocked and he quickly tried to assess the situation.
"You think you've seen it all...." Gilroy cranes his head up from it's previous slack postion, it takes more might than he thought. Blood wells up along his bottom row of teeth and some of it which already spilled from his mouth was hardening and crusting over.
"What happened? " Michael is already in the car now and he shifts and frowns some at the sight of a bloodied Gilroy.
"He shot me." A gurgled laugh "All along, he planned to kill me-" A cough. "--then come after you."
Michael asks about who did this and at first Gilroy was apprehensive but now he was on a mortality clock he explains about the convict who did this.
"A few million dollars. That's what he offered me. Instead I get this." Gilroy says lightly eyes staying closed a second longer than necissary. Michael is here and Gilroy can't help but glance to his arm feeling Michael's hand on his. Gilroy's blue gaze met Michael's.
"Did I mention--" Michael looks at Gilroy narrowing his eyes in confusion and Gilroy keeps talking, smiling despite it all. "I am attached to an explosive device?" The British man moves his jacket to expose the device and the wires and his gunshot wound in his stomach. By the look on Michael's face Gilroy deduces, no, he didn't tell Michael that before.
It's funny, Gilroy thinks. Does Michael not think this as funny as him? All this work this preperation for millions and this is the outcome. The ticking and tocking of an explosive. His life has a timer. It's a releaving and somewhat disturbing fact. Most of all though it was funny. In a life of unpredictable situations and things you can only try to account for it was just so /funny/ that he knew he was going to die and when.
He can't help but stare at Michael and he raises his brow some. Pity he didn't really want to go before getting more .... aquainted.... with Michael. Mr.Westen has a fine a**. Gilroy would have liked to show Michael a thing or two that rail of a girl of Michael's couldn't. Isn't that funny too? His last thoughts will be about Michael's a**, not his regrets, just Gilroy had none. Or he was accoustemed to them. It didn't matter because really who wants to think of regrets when they can think of Michael's a**? Excactly.
Gilroy knows despite how ineveitable things are Michael will try and find a way to change things. Westen was in fact looking at the explosive device....
"You should run along." Gilroy says, that sickly amused smile still on his face.
Gilroy likes to think that apprehension Michael had to leave was for him.
He leans his head back closing his eyes and is surprised-- the last thing he was thinking off wasn't just the ex-spy's behind.
