What have we here? To be exactly, a guardian, something like Christianity's Angels. However, this particular Guardinal (a sort of archon) was created by Bast, or Bastet. Bastet is, was and will forever be, the mother of cats, and defender of the Pharaoh. As such these chosen few felines were the worldly eyes and ears, and even occasionally fist of this Diety.
Anywho, back to the real material worth of these "Chosen of Bastet". It is to be assumed that many people know how highly Egyptians thought of cats, well, cats like Rasel here are the reason why. Minor healing abilities, and harm abilities (a trait to be explained later) as well as some arcane fluidity, though most cats only obtain the use of a trio of spells, seeking to empower them to the greatest effect rather than attempt to learn every spell in the books. They exhibit great feats of dexterity and acrobatics that put the average cat to shame. Some even gain the ability to fly. This particular cat, however, has mastered but a single spell, and has learned no sort of flying ability as of yet.
The spell, is called Needle Shot. Originally one used a material needle of metal composition, and fired it at the opponent the way any ninja might fire a dart or kunai. Only after uttering a single command word would the needle multiply into a swarm, usually limited to the caster's arcane ability.
Currently, Rasel has mastered this ability to the point where a needle is no longer necessary as a focus item. He can create a grand total of thirty needles from a single cast, and provided he makes no other actions over the course of six seconds, can successfully cast the spell three times. These needles are controlled by the caster, following any number of targets (limited naturally by the number of needles) at a general speed of five hundred feet per second. Focusing heavily, Rasel can modify the speed they travel, but usually this means firing less total needles, or at least giving up on some that have already been created. (Before, or after they hit their target.)
The second spell as said before, is perhaps more so a supernatural ability. Every Chosen of Bastet knows it, and can cast it with ease, even as young as a few days old. Harm/Heal is what they call it, and it can be used to either repair or destroy flesh. The longer they touch the target, the more it can be healed or harmed. Harm is much like a disintegrate ability, and the heal is quite the same as most creature's regenerative ability.
Rasel can jump (standing) around twenty feet. He can also jump around 75 when he gets a running start. Falling damage is no real problem for this feline.
Being a cat, acrobatics are of course a sort of standard. However, when one sees the feats a Chosen of Bastet can preform in his cat form, they will realize that this cat means business. All those movies where robbers dive and duck through lasers look like childs play when one sees how very adept the Chosen are at acrobatic tricks.
All of these abilities can be used in human form, but are usually stuttered, slower, and less powerful. The human body feels cumbersome, too unwieldy to wear in his opinion, and so, he can be identified in his cat form far easier than otherwise. Oh yeah, and if you ever see a cat without a silver ankh hanging from it's collar, you can bet that this is not our Rasel.
