Well yesterday I went up to San Fransisco (temporarly in San Jose) for a skating session known as the Midnight Skate. I had attempted it once before but only made it halfway. This time though I was able to get through the entire thing. I was definately tired but very happy with myself for completing it. I am still happy but now I am pretty sore.
Anyway on another note I am having jaw surgery in less than five days. My feelings are very mixed. I am scared, excited, and also nervous. In the end though I believe the entire procedure will be worth the pain I will have to endure during the recovery process. The only thing I don't like is I can't take any Motrin for a week before surgery and for three days after the surgery (which means I just have to deal with whatever headaches come my way during that time period). Anyway my pre-op is on the 12th and my surgery is on the 13th. Then I am going to be in the hospital for a few days, possibly untill my first post-op appointment. Either way I won't be on Gaia for a while following the surgery. Then once I do get out of the hospital, my posting will be quiet infrequent. Since as I discovered when I got my wisdom teeth out, I can do anything but roleplay when my pain medicine starts to wear off.
So on another note I went to Anime Expo last weekend. It was my first major convention, and let me tell you I was very easily overwhelmed when I first arrived there. After a little while it wasn't so bad for me but those first few minutes after seeng the crowd, yeah that was another case all together. Anyway I had an awesome time. It was a big change from the convention I had attended locally that was a really small but really nice convention. Anyway here are some pictures that I took of the cosplayers:
A girl that was waiting in line with me for the Vic Mognona panel was cosplaying as Elicia.
A Riza cosplayer who was also waiting in that same line.

Two girls who were standing behind me in the same line who are cosplaying as Ed and Al.
A Trigham cosplayer who was just ahead of me in the FMA Movie line. Sorry about the size of this picture and the blurryness, it didn't look this bad until I uploaded it.
All the Ed cosplayers that showed up for the panel I mentioned earlier. Sorry about the size of this one also. I resized it but its not showing up here on Gaia.
A Lust cosplayer who I met in the FMA movie line.
A Winry cosplayer I met while waiting to get into the Meet and Greet the GOHs.
Finally a Kouji cosplayer I met at the bottom of one of the LONG escalators, while pondering what to do until the Meet and Greet started.
Anyway those are all the cosplaying pictures I will share with you for now. During my next post, I'll add some more and show you maybe some pictures of the local con I attended last month.
Anyway at the con they were showing an exclusive screening of the FMA movie. Knowing that the line for this would get really long really fast I showed up bright and early (about 2 and a half hours before we were scheduled to start seating early) to get in line to make sure I got a good spot. When I got there the line was all ready stretching a quarter of the way down the hall from the starting point. By the time the line started moving the line was HUGE. My proof comes in the form of even more pictures:
Anyway that is all the pictures I am sharing for now. I am tired of resizing everything so it doesn't take up so much room. So for now that is all the pictures you will get to see from the convention.
Anyway I've spent a lot of time on this entry. I'll write more about the Expo on my next entry. I am going to try to start doing this weekly, but that won't be coming around until I am starting to recover in the hotel room after the surgery. But that's all for now.
