I loved prom! =D But I just thought that I'd share a few (okay, a lot) of the details from last night.
So it began like any other special function.... I was makin' everyone late and running through the house like some sort of crazy person. (I actually let out a bit of a short shriek when I saw people inside the house and I still wasn't ready. ^^' That was awkward.) Let's just say that I didn't expect someone to be in my house. When we were about to leave for dinner, I kept having to run back into the house for things like driving directions, my ticket, glasses, stuff like that. (My mom let me drive her '07 Saturn Vue! O.O <3) So when we got into the Vue and were about to drive off, the zipper on my dress just broke! D: It was a floor-length, strapless black dress, so I didn't really have a choice but to change it. (I got the dress during the summer, then put on ten pounds. D: I wanna try to lose that weight.)
We quickly got me into another dress (almost floor-length, black with very thin straps and glitter all over) and I drove us to Koko's. (Us being Maggie {one of my best female friends}, along with Josh {see previous entries to learn more about him}, Jordan {fun gamer that I've known since second grade}, and Nick {my ex, he's very quiet}.) The food at Koko's was amazing! Then we met up with my mom for more pictures. (we had taken some earlier at my house.) I didn't like the fact that my shoes kept falling off every time I tried to walk. =P Jordan actually carried me a bit when we were walking around for pictures. >.< I felt tall then. *giggles*
Driving to prom was pretty easy. The directions were easy to understand. (My mom and I had driven there earlier that day and written down directions to the easiest path.) Once we got to the dance (about 45 minutes after the doors opened) it wasn't too difficult to find our friends. They already had a table for us. For food, we had egg rolls (they called them "spring rolls" rolleyes ), fried chicken, a small cheese and friut platter, then a small table of just sweets like cookies and brownies.
I have no idea who the prom king and queen were 'cause I was havin' too much fun dancing. whee I think they played one techno song. I'm pretty sure that Josh pulled out his cell phone and used it instead of a glow stick when he was dancing. *giggles* My friends are crazy. (And Amber... my gosh she was insane when she was dancing! Too much booty dancing for me.) I got to talk a bit with Jon Brown. He's an amazing singer/guitar player that goes to my school. He's also tryin' to get a record deal right now. >.< I hope that he does soon. (I've got his cd, and I love it!)
After the dance was over, everyone started to take things like balloons, candles, and stuff like that. I filled the back of my mom's car with blue, white, and black balloons. (Sadly, those are the colors of another school around here. We have a friendly rivalry. =P For the most part, anyways.) Maggie took some balloons and released them once we got outside. Jordan and Nick didn't take anything, but Josh took a cardboard painting. *laughs* We almost got lost on our way back home 'cause Nick and his tomtom kept telling us where the food places where. (We were getting a little bit hungry.) I just kept calling him NickNick. 4laugh Eventually, we just wanted to go to the McDonald's near our houses. That was closed, so we went to Wendy's and had frosties. I drove everyone back to my house, our meeting place. (With the exception of Nick and Josh. They were dropped off at my house and they don't live far from me. I dropped them off at their houses.)
I got home (finally!) and went right to sleep. Right now I'm still a bit covered in glitter and my hair is in the updo my mom did for me. >.< (we used enough hair spray. O.O) I've got work today, so I'll have to start gettin' ready soon. *sighs* But I'm tryin' to load this episode on YouTube. (I heard that YouTube is gonna get rid of all anime episodes. D: I wanna watch a few before they get the chance to.) Now I just wish that I didn't have work so I could stay home and get some homework done. I've got a lot of words to make up for in my college class. I think I should've put off this writing. ^^'
