~~~Episode Thirty-Five~~~
Someone grabbed Haku from behind, pulling him back rather painfully as the rhinoceros rampaged past and continued pursuing Rumble and Frenzy.
Haku was roughly pulled into a standing position as a red Autobot came onto the scene, and he turned to come face to face with yet another small bot.
It smiled at him,
“No time to be lying around kid! Come on!”
He said, trying to pull him towards the Autobots, but Haku pulled back.
“No! I need to get my katana!”
He said, pulling his arm away. The bot turned,
“In use after the 1400s, the katana is a curved, single-edged sword traditionally used by the samurai. Fine, hurry and grab your katana.”
Haku stared at the small bot in slight confusion before running to retrieve his weapons.
“Let’s go!”
Haku turned to see the bot was standing right beside him, urging him to hurry as a battle erupted between Soundwave and the red Autobot. He dashed forward just as the red on smashed back onto the ground.
“Blaster!”
Blasted looked over at them,
“Rewind, get that kid outta here! I’ll handle Soundwave and get the girl back!”
He ordered as he leapt back to his feet. Rewind grabbed Haku by the arm and forced him to follow.
Suddenly, there was an explosion of sound, and Haku felt a strange pull. Everything in the hall began to pull back until it shot up into the air and was ripped outside through the large hole that had been blasted into the wall.
Rewind shouted, digging his fingers into the ground as he too was pulled. He yanked Haku closer, holding him tightly as his grip began to slip. The other cassettes were having a difficult time as well as they struggled against the roaring wind that was summoning them out into open space. Soundwave’s cassettes quickly returned to him, finding shelter in his chest. Starscream caused a commotion as he transformed and ripped away from Jazz before escaping – but not before allowing Soundwave to hop into the c**k pit with Yuri in toll.
Haku’s eyes widened and he struggled to get out of Rewind’s grip.
“No! Stop him! He has Yuri!”
He shouted, his voice barely audible over the roar.
“Powerglide!”
Prowl shouted, and a red plane quickly zoomed after Starscream. A metal plate came up, covering the hole in the wall, and the chaos ceased.
Rewind carefully let go of Haku, and the blonde leapt to his feet, staring at where the hole had been moments before.
Yuri had been taken, and he hadn’t been able to do anything to help her. He clenched his fists, his gaze falling to the metal ground.
Blaster got up,
“Man, that was some party.”
He commented. Jazz was rubbing his shoulder and nodded,
“Yeah. Good thing we came back so quickly. Optimus and the others will be returning, so will calculate the damages and figure out what to do next.”
“Calculate?!”
Haku shouted, causing the attention to shift towards him. He glared, stepping forward,
“We need to go save Yuri! I don’t need any calculations to tell me that!”
He snapped. Jazz gave him a sympathetic look and sighed.
“Kid, we’re going to save your friend. But we can’t just barge in and expect to win – we need a strategy.”
Blaster turned,
“Rewind, take the boy to the Rec. Room. Bee and Spike are there along with his friend – he’ll stay there for now. Steeljaw, Eject, Ramhorn – I want you to make sure our guests are gone.”
~*~*~*~*~
Haku was sitting against the wall, glaring at the floor. Zeph glanced over at him from where he was sitting with Spike and sighed.
“Don’t worry – we’ll get her back.”
Bumblebee said, obviously sensing the depression in the room. He received a small smile from Zeph,
“Thanks Bee…”
He said half-heartedly. Bumblebee gave him a smile,
“Soundwave wont hurt her. He’ll most likely want information, so he’ll keep her alive for a while. Jazz and Hound are already forming a plan, so we-“
“Where’s Wheeljack?”
The sudden interruption caused Bee to blink, and he looked down at Haku. Haku looked up, wanting an answer.
“He’s in the med-bay – being repaired most likely. Why?”
Haku got up, Spike and Zeph watching him curiously.
“None of your business why. I’ll be back.”
With that, Haku turned and left – the doors sliding open to allow him out. Spike narrowed his eyes,
“Is he always like that?”
He asked Zeph. Zeph didn’t reply though. His mind was else where at the moment as he had watched Haku leave.
What was his friend planning?
