Mediocrity At It's Finest
These are just random snippets from my mind... enjoy.
NetStar Chronology - Chapter 19
Blue was standing outside the house, guarding. Yellow had fallen asleep again, and Red was playing solitaire. He thought about his moment with Yellow. He was embarrassed that he expressed such emotion, but he knew he couldn't help it. However, it made him feel better that she shared his sentiments.

I feel like I've really bonded with Charlotte, these past few days. Blue thought. I regret not being more kind to her when we first met. Back then, all I cared about was revenge. I still want vengence, but I'm not going to let it get in the way of bonding with my new friends.

Suddenly, he saw Green approaching him. He stared, blinked, then raised a hand and smacked himself on the cheek really hard. He thought he was seeing things, but Green still approached. Blue turned pale.

"Hello, Yamato." Green greeted.

"You..." Blue was still awestruck. "You're... still alive?"

"I found it hard to believe too, but..."

"No." Blue shook his head. "We all saw you crash into him. There was nothing left."

"I don't know how it happened. I was knocked out as soon as I collided with him."

"I... can't believe this. I mean, it's great you're alive, but it doesn't make any sense."

"I've got some more news, as well. But it's going to require you to help out The Empire one last time."

"What are you talking about?" Blue looked at him strangely.

"I'll tell you as soon as we meet with the others." Green sighed. Yamato was calm, for the most part. But, I wonder how the others will react...

They both walked inside. Blue was still trying to absorb what was happening. He thought maybe he could confirm that Green was real by seeing Red. Red was getting up from the table, when she noticed them walking in.

"What... the?" She said quietly. "Yamato, is that..."

Blue nodded, surprise still lingering in his eye, and Red approached him. Red just looked him over, then punched him upside the head. Green stumbled back, a little dazed.

"Hey... what was that for?" He asked, surprised.

"Confirmation." Red looked at him angrily, while flexing her fingers. "What were you thinking, Miyamoto?"

"Only of saving Iota." His eyes showed some guilt.

"Yeah, don't give me that! What was that you were saying about paying for your injustice? Daisaku was the one who commited that injustice, by forcing you to fight against us. You did nothing wrong! You were just a weapon in the wrong hands..." Red quieted down, and her eyes were watering. "Miyamoto... I thought you were gone..."

"Terra..." Green frowned, and put a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, I'm back now."

"Guh..." Red wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be assaulting you. I just..."

"I understand." Green gave a weary smile.

"What's going on down here?" Yellow asked, while yawning.

"Miyamoto's back!" Blue and Red told her.

"What are you talking about?" Yellow looked at her strangely, then noticed Green. "Eh?"

Green gave a nervous wave.

"Is this... is this some kind of joke?" Yellow trotted over. "I must be going insane."

She walked over to Green, then touched his sides. She then touched his face, and rubbed his cheeks. She leaned in, and kissed him straight on the lips. He gave her a very strange, but embarrassed look.

"Charlotte?" He stared. "I can understand you're shocked, but..."

"You are really here, aren't you?" She interrupted. "And, I am not imagining your presence."

She gave him a hard slap to the face. His head was tilted to the side, and he just stared off.

When is the abuse going to end? He thought.

"Don't you dare do a crazy thing like that again!" She yelled at him, going red in the cheeks.

"I'll think about it." He sighed.

"Hm." She smiled a little. "Welcome home, Miyamoto."

"Great." Blue finally spoke up. "Now that we're all reintroduced, how about you tell us about this news?"

"News?" Red asked Blue. "What's this about..."

"Terra, quiet down please." Yellow told her softly. "Miyamoto?"

"Right." Green nodded. "On my way home from Kotobuki, I spotted James Black. But, the moment I saw him, I also saw two shady people. I assume they were Skulls, because I heard him mention something about 'Divine Fury'. Yamato, I believe this is the break you've been looking for!"

"So, that b*****d is working for the Skulls." Blue frowned. "How are we going to prove it to Daisaku?"

"Simple. James told them to attack the tower, since nobody's there. All the Captains and Lieutenants, as well as Supreme and Admiral Daisaku, are in the forest; recovering. A perfect opportunity for the Skulls to eliminate their soldiers."

"Okay. But, what did you mean by us helping out The Empire?"

"We're going to intercept the Skulls. We're going to nullify their attack, and hold them off until Daisaku returns. If I know him, he'll ask how we knew about the Skulls attacking, and then we'll expose James for the fraud he is."

"I don't like working at his level, but if it'll put me at ease, I'm willing. We've got no time to lose!"

"I don't mean to sound like an idiot..." Red spoke up. "But, what are you going to do with no weapons?"

"I'm going to rely on my other skills, for the time being." Green told her. "Remember, I've had mutual training with the other Captains."

"What happened to Seven Force?" Yellow asked.

"I lost it in the collision. I don't know if it was destroyed, or merely removed. It's a shame... I really liked that mech."

"Could it be that it saved your life?"

"More than likely. It seemed less interested in itself, as it grew more attached to me. But, if we want to intercept the attack, we need to head out now."

Seven Force... Yellow thought, closing her eyes. My gratitude for your sacrifice cannot be put into mere words.

"Right." Red and Blue nodded.

The reunited group headed out towards The Empire's tower, and waited anxiously for the Skulls.

"How are we going to do this, Miyamoto?" Yellow asked.

"I thought about the plan on my way here. And luckily, the blows to my head didn't make me forget." He chuckled. "Terra will be the main offense. Yamato and I will be the first defense, since I know Counter, and he knows Retaliation. Charlotte, I have an interesting role for you. I want Terra to channel any energy she might gather directly towards you. This is because your attacks are more energy efficient. As you gather energy, I want you to use it on powerful attacks that spread out. And, whenever convenient, I want you to put barriers around us, to minimize damage."

"Wow." Red blinked. "You're really utilizing our skills, aren't you?"

"We can't afford to falter. I believe that this is the best course of action. Get ready, I can hear them marching."

They found themselves facing a group of twenty five Generic Skulls, and on Green's mark, they executed the plan. The Skulls didn't stand a chance. The attacks of Yellow and Red were devastating, wiping out two to three with each strike. Whenever one would attack Green or Blue, they would receive damage back ten fold. Within minutes, the Skulls were decimated. Yellow healed everyone the best she could, including herself.

"That was amazing." Yellow blinked.

"That's what makes us such a great team." Green smiled. "A perfect balance of power and speed, offense and defense."

"Say, Charlotte." Blue told her. "I think your healing skills are improving."

"You think so?" She smiled shyly. "I'm flattered."

Just then, Daisaku, Supreme, Black, Orange, Nero, Pink, and Eddie returned. Daisaku was helping Supreme move. Black was the first to notice the defeated Skulls, and his face contorted into pure horror.

"What the hell is wrong with you, James?" Daisaku asked.

"Skulls!" James masked his anger with shock. "They led an attack while we were gone!"

"And here Miyamoto stands, with his former group." Daisaku looked at Green. "What is the meaning of this, Captain?"

"It's very simple." Blue said, before Green could speak up; his gaze aimed directly at Black. "For the Skulls to be able to lead an attack on the tower, they would first have to know there weren't any threats."

"Simple intel could reveal if any area was deserted, Yamato." Black frowned.

"But, that intel could come easier from one with inside information."

"What are you getting at?" Daisaku asked Blue. "You realize this evidence isn't convincing enough, right? This could have just been one of the Skull's rare moments of intelligence."

"Want more proof, Admiral?" Green stepped forward. "I heard James talking about the attack to two of his faithful Skulls in the forest."

"Is this true?" Daisaku blinked.

"Lies!" Black barked.

Eddie, who had been thinking about this, finally spoke up.

"It would also explain how the Skulls learned the Backup technique." Eddie said, with a surprising edge. "The Backup technique which killed most of my unit and my brother George!"

Black scowled.

"Vincent, you believe me, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, I believe you." Orange nodded.

"Vincent would believe anything, with the right motivation." Pink huffed, then looked at Black. "But James, I'm surprised at you. I thought you wanted to change the world."

"Bah!" Black yelled, defeated. "I could care less about your stupid reformation! I merely wished to get myself more support for the Skulls, so that I could one day revel in the glory of the Divine Fury! Things got more difficult when that low life sister of Yamato's got in my way!"

"So you had her killed, on the grounds of a false story." Blue growled. "I knew you were up to something!"

"But, you were too stupid to figure it out, just like the rest of you!" He looked at Green. "Miyamoto, I gave you training! How could you betray me like this?"

"That training was mandatory." Green told him. "And as for betrayal, you should look at your own actions. I believe some true justice is in order!"

Everyone except for Orange attacked Black. And, it's safe to say that match didn't last long. Once Black was on the ground, Blue stood over him.

"So..." Black coughed. "You still want your revenge? You got it. Now, let me go."

"Oh, I'll let you go." Blue narrowed his eyes. "And, give Clair my regards. Absolute Zero!!"

Blue raised his arms, and a huge crystal formation covered Black, then shattered in an earth shaking explosion. Black's final scream was barely audiable over the loud cracking of the ice, and he was ripped apart, beyond repair.

"Judgement has been passed." Blue sighed. "Clair, I can finally move on."

"A shame he had to go, the way he did." Daisaku said, slightly detached. "But, he betrayed the both of us, and he simply had to be eliminated."

You're a freaking moron. Blue thought, scowling. Don't even try to act like you care.

There was a long pause.

"Miyamoto." Daisaku looked at Green. "How can I repay you for this discovery?"

"Let me go back to my friends." He said. "I believe that would be fitting enough."

"Losing two Captains in one day is a huge loss..." He growled reluctantly. "But I suppose The Empire needs time to recover, and won't be implimenting any plans for a while. Fine. But realize this; if you get in our way when we do execute a plan, we'll be enemies once more."

"I'm well aware of that, Admiral." Green smirked.

"Our beliefs are so different..." Daisaku sighed. "So, I guess it's only natural for us to fight. Tell me, what is the name of your new faction?"

"The NetStars." Green told him. "And don't you forget it."

"Very well." Daisaku nodded. "I get the feeling this is the beginning of a beautiful war. Come, Captains."

All the remaining Captains, excluding Pink, walked into the tower. Pink walked over to Green.

"Looks like you got your wish." Pink smiled, then looked at the rest of the group. "I want to apologize for the trouble I caused."

"It's not a problem, now." Yellow told her. "I guess I could have been a little less protective."

"No." Pink shook her head. "Continue fighting for him. Protect him in any way you can."

"All right, then." Yellow smiled.

"I wish you luck, NetStars." She giggled.

As she walked past Green, she snuck a kiss on his lips, then disappeared in a gust of Wind. Green was surprised at what had happened.

"Hey, Miyamoto?" Red asked. "You still with us?"

"Uh, yeah." Green chuckled, blushing.

"The NetStars?" Blue raised an eyebrow.

"Think about it." Green answered, his blush fading. "Our first true battle was held in Cyberspace, so it's fitting that we have a name to reflect that."

"I think it's a wonderful name." Yellow smiled. "Welcome back, Miyamoto."
