Mediocrity At It's Finest
These are just random snippets from my mind... enjoy.
NetStar Chronology - Chapter 22
In Kotobuki, Yamato was searching around. There were very few houses around, since there were so many trees. He knocked off a few Ghosts, but he never thought to get any information from them.

"White undersuits..." Blue muttered. "The Empire must have another new Captain. With the introduction of Solid, and now this new one, there must be at least four."

He continued walking, until something strange caught his eye. It was a tree, but it was slightly lighter than the others.

"What the..." He looked at it. "I'm not seeing things, am I?"

He climbed up the tree, and searched the branches, then jumped down. He was holding a crystal in the shape of a rose. It eminated a constant glow.

"Hm... what is this thing?"

"That is Brairpatch." A voice told him.

He looked at the treetops, searching for the source of the voice. Eddie dropped down from a nearby tree.

"Eddie?" Blue asked. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm searching for that artifact in your posession. It is my first duty as a Captain." He grinned.

"You are a Captain?" Blue gave him a skeptical look. "You're kidding me."

"Those Ghosts with white undersuits are mine to command. It's a shame you weren't around to see my growth."

"How did you become a Captain?"

"Because of my huge role in the gathering of the Gems. I was the one who came up with the plan, you know."

"Daisaku's become more lenient." Blue smirked. "That plan failed completely, you know that, right?"

"But, it enlightened the Admiral on my skills. I am a huge asset to his plans, since I have the ability to translate the Archonian language."

"Is that so?" Blue raised an eyebrow.

"Quite. And, there are more Guardians to be brought back. My studies show there are quite a few of them still sealed away. Somebody was punting them left and right!"

"You guys still want to mess with the Guardians, despite how Satarage treated Daisaku?"

"Well, Satarage was different. He was obsessed with the downfall of the Guardian of Defense, so it's only natural he wouldn't listen. The Guardian of Vengence, on the other hand, is quite cooperative, according to the texts."

"Guardian of Vengence, huh?" Blue frowned. "Something tells me giving this item to you would be a big mistake."

"Well, not giving me the item certainly would be a mistake. So, just hand it over."

"I don't think so."

Eddie drew his guns, and immediately let loose a barrage of shots. Blue dodged most of the shots, but got hit by a few. He attacked Eddie with a kick, and Eddie got floored. He sprang back up, then jumped in the air.

"Light Rain!!" He called out.

In a rapid succession, at three times his normal firing speed, he shot down a hail of Light energy shots. Blue was helpless against the attack, and had no other option than to turn his body into water. When Eddie landed, Blue shifted back to normal.

"Interesting." Eddie smiled. "But not good enough."

Blue frowned, then threw a bunch of crystals at Eddie. Thinking quickly, he smacked all of them back at Blue, each one shattering on impact. Blue staggered back, then held his arm off to the side.

"When did you learn how to Counter?" Blue growled.

"Athena taught me, once I rose to Captain. I'm glad that I'm finally an equal to her."

"You won't be for long!" A blade of pure Ice appeared on his arm.

Blue ran at Eddie, and took quick, vicious swings at him. Eddie managed to block them, then gave Blue a spin kick. Blue stumbled back, then his eyes flashed, and he came forward with lightning quick slashes. Eddie was caught up in the flurry, and stumbled back into a tree. Eddie jumped over another slash, kicked off the tree, then landed behind him. He gave Blue a series of kicks and jabs, ending with an uppercut. Blue was sent into the air, and Eddie focused energy.

"Divine Spear!!" He thrust his arms at Blue, just as he was in range.

On impact, he released a powerful blast of Light, which slammed Blue into a tree. He slid down, and sat on the ground. The Briarpatch landed near Eddie's feet, since the force made Blue drop it. He picked it up.

"This is suitable." Eddie smiled. "A pleasure fighting you, Yamato."

Eddie saluted, then disappeared in a flash of Light.

"He's got quite a mouth on him..." Blue muttered, vision blurring. "But, it wasn't a complete loss. I'll tell Miyamoto what I've found. As soon... as I get some rest."

With that, Blue fell asleep, exhausted from the intense battle.

Meanwhile, at the NetStar's house, Yellow was sitting alone on the couch. Red had just arrived, and still wasn't feeling well.

"Terra!" Yellow stared. "What happened to you?"

"I don't want to talk about it." She frowned. "Where's Light?"

"He's out looking for his siblings."

"I thought you went with him."

"Well, I was, until he ran off." Yellow sighed. "I couldn't catch up with him, so I came back here."

"That b*****d." Red frowned more, then sat back on the couch. "Hey Charlotte?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you heal me?"

"Only if you tell me what happened." Yellow told her, adopting a motherly tone.

"Gah... fine. I lost, okay?"

"So? It's fine if you lose."

"I lost against Vincent. I never lose against him. Now he hates me for bugging him all the time."

"Oh, cut it out." Yellow frowned a little. "So what if you lost?"

"It's not really the losing that bugs me. I can take a punch. Or two... or three. But what I can't take is the thought of someone hating me."

"He doesn't hate you. He's probably just annoyed that you keep getting in his way. Yamato was the same way."

"But, it seemed that way when he left."

"Terra, you need to learn that annoying people isn't going to make them like you."

"I know... I just can't help it."

Yellow sighed. There was a long pause.

"Do you think I'd look better with long hair?" Red asked, finally.

"What?" Yellow looked at her.

"Long hair, on me. What do you think?"

"Well, it would make you look more feminine. Why the sudden interest?"

"Everybody thinks I'm a boy." She leaned back on the couch. "I'm sick of being called a boy."

"Well, there are boys with long hair, you know."

"Bah. Then I'll wear a dress, too. I'll grow long hair and wear a dress."

"I think you'd look really pretty, like that." Yellow smiled. "But, I didn't think you cared about it so much."

"I don't, really. I'm just tired of punching people in the teeth."

Yellow gave a nervous smile.

"If I get a dress..." Red continued. "Will you teach me how to run in it?"

"I can try."

"That would be awesome." She took a breath. "You know what else would be awesome?"

"What?"

"If you would heal me. I ache all over..."

"Oh, right." Yellow laughed a little.

Yellow put a palm on Red's shoulder, and concentrated. Healing power flowed through Red's body, and she felt considerably better.

"Thanks, Charlotte." Red smiled.

"No problem."

"Do you think Miyamoto will be mad, if we're just sitting here like this?"

"I doubt it. There needs to be someone to watch the house, plus he'd want someone to watch over me. He's really paranoid about me getting taken away."

"Probably because of what happened during the Gem incident. Remember, you got kidnapped."

"That's right." She nodded. "But I worry about him, too. Sometimes I feel as though... never mind."

"What?"

"Nothing. Athena thinks I'm overprotective, but she's never seen how Miyamoto acts when I'm in danger."

"Well, that just means he loves you, and doesn't want anything bad to happen. I wish I had a brother or a sister."

"Aw. What about parents?"

"My mom died long ago. And my dad..." She paused a moment. "My dad just changed. He really never was the same, after she died."

"What happened to him?"

Red was silent for a moment.

"I'd rather not talk about it." She shook her head.

"It must have been horrible."

"I got over it." Red fibbed.

"Well, if you need anyone to talk to, I'm always open."

"Thanks, Charlotte." Red smiled. "You know, sometimes I wish I was a boy."

"Oh, why's that?" Yellow blinked.

"Eh, never mind." Red looked away. "I'm going to sleep, now."

"Okay." Yellow said, giving her a strange look. "Do you want me to call you down when supper's done?"

"Sure. I could use some eats." She got up. "But first... I'm tired."

"Sleep well." Yellow smiled.

Red walked to her room.

Hmm. Yellow thought, smiling affectionately. I wonder...

First of all I want to congratulate Eddie from going from Zero to ex-Hero of the Operation Gem. Not only did he himself plan the entire thing, he was honest enough to say, yes we fail but were trying again. And that power already. And for the entire fight, while never expect Eddie just to use Divine Spear without hesitation but then again is battle. It make me feel like Blue was going to die, it just give that sort of feeling. And Terra and Charlotte are more like sister then mother and daugther to me. Poor Terra of losing her family that way, and wanting to become a boy. The only way I see that, is because you don't have any more periods xp And I like the crystal rose is just sounds pretty yet powerful and mystirious mrgreen
