Vanessa stared across the unending miles of sand. She laid on her back and looked towards the sky.
Vanessa: I promised I’d go back, but I never do go, do I? Maybe I’ll go back next week.
Night fall came and fell over Konaha.
Sakura: Sasuke-kun? Where are you going?
Sasuke: I’m leaving to Orochimaru’s get more power. Tell Naruto I used his Ramen Coupons.
Sakura: I want to come with you Sasuke-kun!
Sasuke: Sakura.....you leave me no choice.
Sakura: I can come?
Sasuke: No. *slaps Sakura hard enough to maker her faint and puts her on bench*
~Next Morning!
Sakura: Mmmm….What happened? Why am I here? Ohmygosh! Sasuke-kun!
Sakura got up and ran to Naruto’s house.
Sakura: Naruto! Naruto! Wake up!
Naruto: *yawn* What do you want Sakura?
Sakura: Sasuke-kun ran away to Orochimaru’s! And he used your Ramen Coupons for his ramen last night.
Naruto: WHAT!?! HOW DID HE!? SASUKE IS GOING TO DIE!!!!!
And so they assemble a group to go fetch Sasuke. Okay! Back to the Hidden Sand Village! A letter arrives for the Sand ninjas stating that Sasuke has ran away and that the Leaf village could really use their help. They prepare and take off to help the Leaf Village. Vanessa spots them as they’re leaving.
Vanessa: Hm? Where are they going?
She runs after them only to stop, out of breath.
Vanessa: @_@ Need….water….
She finally arrives by flying, but goes on until she finds Naruto passed out, with Sasuke not far ahead. It starts to rain, and Vanessa pulls her hood over her head.
Vanessa: *low evil voice* SASUKE!!!
Sasuke stops short and tries to recognize the voice. He turns and looks.
Sasuke: Ah, if it isn’t Vanessa. I’ve been looking all over the place for you. I got so tired of waiting for you to join me, so I decided to go to Orochimaru’s by myself.
Vanessa: I wouldn’t go if you forced me to go.
Sasuke: What are you going to do now that you’ve caught up to me? I’ve had a taste of power and already knocked out Naruto. You don’t stand a chance. Just look at you. Wearing the same jacket everyday, hair is a mess.
Vanessa: I don’t care, as long as I’m still presentable.
Vanessa squatted and took out a notebook.
Sasuke: ???
She seemed to be in her own world reading from it. Sasuke, seeing that he saw an opening chance, pulled out a kunai and threw it at her. She looked up from her notebook and dodged it in time before it could hit her.
Vanessa: Phew, that was a close one. Here it is. I’ve always hated hand symbols, seeing that I do them so slow. Here goes nothing.
After performing a few hand symbols, she closed her eyes.
Vanessa: Chidori.
Sasuke: Ha, oh, sure. Only Kakashi and I know how to use Chidori.
A dark chakra exerted from her hand. It got bigger and bigger, but she had no intention of dashing towards Sasuke.
Sasuke: What are you waiting for? Aren’t you supposed to charge at me now?
Vanessa still had her eyes closed. Sasuke pulled out another kunai. A loud noise behind Sasuke made him turn around.
Sasuke: Whaa!?
Sasuke turned to see a thousand birds flying towards him. They started pecking at his flesh, eating him alive.
Sasuke: What is this? This isn’t how Chidori works!
Vanessa: It’s not?
Sasuke: Grrrr….
He activated his curse seal and performed his Chidori, blasting all the birds away.
Sasuke: And that’s how you do it.
Vanessa: Really? That’s not how I remembered it…
He ran up to her but stopped halfway. A mysterious force was pushing him back. But that didn’t stop him from attacking. He did his fireball jutsu and tried another Chidori. As he was doing this Vanessa sat and scribbled something into her notebook. He activated his curse seal level 2 and went for her again. She yawned and just stared at Sasuke before scribbling some more. Still, he couldn’t break through.
Sasuke: Damn, it’s no use! I can’t break through! I’m just wasting my time here. If you’re not going to come at me, I’m leaving.
Vanessa: Hang on! I’m not done drawing you yet!
Sasuke: Don’t tell me, she’s been drawing me this whole time!?!
Sasuke went for another attack and found himself flying at her. He hit her hard in the face.
Vanessa: Ouch. That hurt. Now you’re really going to get it…
A force pushed Sasuke back ten feet down to the ground. She stood over Sasuke, who was still on the ground. He tried to get up, but something was weighing him down. He looked up at her, and saw that her eyes reflected a brilliant shade of blue. She stuck a hand out for Sasuke. He took her hand acceptingly. And she threw him over the trees.
Kakashi and Sakura had just caught up and found Naruto sprawled out on the ground.
Kakashi: Looks like we’re too late.
