Shape Change: Only to the humanoid image above. The effect is instant, though anyone with any kind of "True seeing" ability would see that he is not human. His gaze, and venom, are both passive while in his true form, while in his humanoid form, his venom must be 'secreted'. His gaze remains constant during both forms.
The Basilisk's Gaze: There is a constant effect that petrifies those who exchange eye contact with A.J. After establishing eye contact, A.J. must keep them within his vision for a total of six seconds, during which they will feel as if their entire body is becoming heavy, and at the end of the duration, they will be a statue.
Basilisk Venom: A paralysis inducing toxin that spreads through the body within half an hour, leaving the person entirely paralyzed. If one is not properly treated after such a thorough injection, their circulatory system will boil as if turning to acid, until death by pain occurs. The reason the paralysis does not over-rule the pain, is because the toxin lays waste the muscular tissue, rather than doing nerve damage.

When in his normal form, you will find him without a weapon on most occasions, however, when in his humanoid shape, he often carries a staff of petrified wood.

A.J. lives in the Spirit Spring. He takes refuge in many of the crystal infested caves beneath the water's cool embrace. It was within it's grip that he hatched, and within it that his egg shell remains. In the water's deepest cave. Since then, he has been a plague, and a blessing to the nearby mining village. Often trying to frighten them away from the mine shafts that put his home in danger.

Easily agitated. Wears the mask of a bully for the most part, but often shows a noble heart beneath his cold exterior. Mind you, he is not a nice creature by any means, he simply has a code of honor.
