So, my dad got me Fruity Loops Studio 8. Which can take the MIDIs I compose and make them into actual instruments. It works awesome!! I might actually get somewhere with these now that I have a real program.

But, composing isn't what I like to do usually. I'm naturally a musician, but I love the guitar the most. Yet, lately, I've found myself consumed by FLS8. I think to myself, it's only for fun. To write music. But it isn't the kind of music I've always wanted to write. I like writing hard rocking riffs. And if I let that go, I'm gonna lose part of myself

The only things to being a musician are writing riffs, keeping in time, soloing, and knowing how to use your instrument. I can do all that, but unless I try to do something with it, it'll be for nothing.

Basically, I wanna be the guitarist I've always been. But, it's easier to just do this composing stuff I've been getting more into lately. Is it possible to be a great guitarist and composer at the same time? It sounds like a stupid question, I know. But maybe I'm not saying it right
