I just realized I haven't updated this for a while! Actually, I didn't think many people were reading it so I quit bothering, lol

I've become a full time volunteer at Animal Samaritans, the local SPCA Shelter. The volunteer coordinator usually is there til 6 pm and she lets me stay, so that I don't have to go out into the heat til then. I spend the day petting the cats and dogs, and doing cleaning and office chores. It's great! It would be great to get hired there, but everyone loves their job so I doubt there will be an opening any time soon, lol! But if there is I know they'll hire me.

The food situation is better now also. My food stamps were changed to $200 a month, and now that I'm at An Sam all day, I have access to their fridge and microwave. So I bought a bunch of frozen microwavable stuff and have a variety of things for lunch. Most aren't too great (I'm used to preparing REAL food!) but it beats crackers of beans!

I'm managing to get by by begging. Yep, I'm one of those annoying people who stands at a corner holding a sign. I do it about 2 times a week, and make about $20 each time usually. I need cash for gas, and stuff that I can't buy with food stamps, like toilet paper, oil for the car (every month it needs a quart, sigh) and other stuff. I splurged a few weeks ago and bought a puzzle magazine. I want to make sure my brain doesn't rot!

Sleeping is better also, I bought some black posterboard and some safety pins, and now cover my rear windows at night so it's nice and dark and private. I sleep most nights at walmart, since that seems to be ok. There's always other people sleeping in cars there also, so I feel pretty safe.

Still job hunting. Applied yesterday at a vet hospital but the position had already been filled, for animal care - that means the person who cleans up after them, and walks dogs, and so on. I wouldn't mind a job like that!

Also, WideEyed has taken it upon himself to organize a weekly zomg game for me! So on Wednesday night we play for anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours, however long I can use the computer at the library. So I am slowly leveling up my rings!

Speaking of that, gotta go, crew is waiting!
