In the beginning of the New Year,
we all eat sauerkraut for a lucky year.
As we anxiously wait for the time to come,
others are drinking till no more in their tum.
We countdown from 10 with some holding a beer,
the ball drops and we all yell "Happy New Year".
Then months along till February is Valentines Day,
a time where couples "love the most" as they say.
But then u have those single people out there that hate this time,
don't worry, you'll experience but maybe with a margarita and a lime.
Then goes on some random March or April day,
with a bunny that will place eggs to lay.
The holiday is Easter with the rabbit that hops,
but who knows where the eggs will plop.
Peter Cottentail is his exact name,
and by golly hiding eggs is his game.
Then goes on to a time in May,
to represent Memorial Day.
For all of our countries' fallen heroes,
we will remember you by not being zeros.
Risking your life for mine to stay,
we thank you, and wish you were here today.
Time goes on for a few months for September,
what goes on except the falling timber?
Oh wait, it's Labor Day but not very important as some say.
It was the start of the labor movement here to stay.
Just remember to do one thing,
after Labor Day, don't wear white, until spring!
One month later a sweet treat comes from door to door,
of course it's Halloween where u want candy, more, more, and more.
Dressing to a costume is already fun and plenty,
but when u add the candy it times it by twenty.
But especially don't forget the jack-o-lanterns,
that will show Halloweens history turn.
Another month passed to a great big feast,
is Thanksgiving Day that some never eat least.
You stuff and stuff till your full to the brim,
but wait, the dessert, I can have a "small" pie trim.
As we remember oh how long ago,
to Pilgrims that settled that were ready for a future show.
Last comes to a favorite time of year,
the holidays of Christmas, Kwanza, and Hanukkah for another time of cheer!
The day where u celebrate a holiday with family and friends,
having fun and opening presents and gifts till your heart ends.
As the end of the month rolls on by,
u know the year is ending and soon to say to the new year "Hi" and the old year "Bye".
The year will start all over again,
from January to December, be ready for those holidays of ten.
