~~~Episode Twelve~~~
Yuri glanced out the window as they left Konoha, the trees and grass being replaced by stars. She sighed, rubbing her hand.
"That was fun." she said. Haku shrugged, "Konoha wasn't all that great, just another world."
Yuri smiled a little,
"Hows your head feeling?" she asked.
Haku twitched slightly, "Fine! God, stop asking! It was a cheap a** shot, and I'm still breathing, so drop it!"
Yuri sat back in her chair,
"Geez, sorry Mr. Sensitive." she joked. She looked out the front windshield into space. "So, what was that beeping watch thing?"
"Oh, thats just a pager...sort of. If heartless begin to act up, it goes off."
"So, what world are we heading to next?"
"I've never heard of it before...Scyaro. The computer doesn't give any other information."
Yuri paused,
"Scyaro...what a weird name."
Haku glanced back at her,
"Like Konoha is any better." he said.
Yuri was sitting in the bedroom, reading a book.
"Hmmm...how weird. I wonder if this is from one of the worlds Hakus been to." she said, flipping the page. Suddenly, a tremor shook the ship. She sighed, standing,
"He really sucks at landing...why not just switch it to Auto-pilot or something?" she asked herself as she walked out of the room. She came into the control room, and Haku turned. "Good timing, sit down, shut up, and hang on." he said.
Yuri narrowed her eyes before sitting down and buckling.
The ship trembled again, and Haku pressed a couple of buttons.
"Having trouble?" Yuri asked.
"As a matter of fact, yes. The planet seems to be drawing the ship in, and if it succeeds, will go crashing down through its atmosphere and most likely blow up."
Yuri blinked,
"Oh, thats not good."
"No, it isn't." Haku said, gripping the steering controls. Haku clenched his teeth as the ship trembled once more. "Crud...crud..." he muttered. He quickly glanced back at her, "Hang on, this is going to be rough." he said.
"Dont need to tell me twice." Yuri said, making sure her belt was on tightly. Suddenly, an alarm flared to life.
"s**t! Hang on, I have to kick on the after burners!" Haku said. The lights on the ship flickered as dark clouds flew past the window, and then there was a horrid sound. Haku cursed, "The engine died!" he yelled, panic in his voice. The ship continued downward, and Haku quickly buckled, "Brace for impact!" he yelled.
Everything was dark, and Yuri slowly opened her eyes. Wind howled outside, shaking the ship from its strength. She slowly sat up, realizing she was still strapped into her seat. A bruise was across her torso from her belt when the ship had crashed, and she winced as she unbuckled. "Haku?" she asked, walking towards his chair. Haku was awake, glaring out the front window.
"I'm fine." he said, not looking at her. Yuri glanced out the window, "What are you staring at? The snow?"
she asked.
Haku shook his head, "No idiot. Dont you see them? We crashed, and they came like vultures." Yuri squinted her eyes, peering out through the front window. Suddenly, a black figure caught her eye, and she blinked,
"What is it? An animal?"
"I dont know, but theres a lot of them. I think they're heartless, but I've never seen a heartless that walks on all fours."
Yuri tensed, seeing more.
"Man...there are alot of them." she looked at Haku. "Hows the ship?" she asked.
"It'll live. The snow cushioned it from the main impact."
"Ok, so lets go outside, kill those things, and then find some natives." Yuri said.
"Hell no." Haku snapped.
"Why not?"
"Because, its -97 degrees out there thanks to this damn storm."
Yuri's eyes widened, "What?! How are those things out there then?!"
"Probably adapted to the cold." he sighed, standing. "Lets eat, then repair the ship. We'll have to wait this storm out, and hope those things dont decide to attack us."
