~~~Episode TwentyEight~~~
Sparks danced violently across the control panel, the lights above flickering as they struggled to remain on. That was the only source of light, for the rest of the ship was lost in darkness.
A shadowed figure stirred from his seat, letting a soft groan escape his lips as he attempted to stand. Haku finally got to his feet, falling against the control panel and holding himself there for support for a moment. He reached out, his hand finding his chair and leading him to it once again as he leaned against it. He felt blood running down his face, and reached his hand up to his forehead. A shudder of pain went through him as he quickly pulled his hand away, blood now covering his fingertips.
Haku finally started to take in his surroundings, and sadness came over him as he realized that he was in his ship. It had been damaged to extreme measures in the trip through the warp gate and he was actually impressed that his ship had survived the journey.
His thoughts were interrupted as a metallic groan shattered the silence around him, and he began planning an escape.
“…Z…ze…Zeph? Yuri?”
Haku called out, his voice cracking indistinctly.
A moan came from his left, and he limped forward to find Zeph still strapped in his chair. Black eyes met Haku’s blue ones in the dim light, and Zeph forced a smile.
“Man…that was some ride…”
He joked as he fumbled for the release clip on his restraints. Haku stepped back, allowing Zeph to rise up.
“You don’t look hurt – good. Help Yuri, I need to assess how much damage the Gummi Ship has taken.”
Haku ordered. Zeph nodded, but spoke as he noticed the blood on Haku’s face,
“Haku, your-“
“-I think I hit my head on the control panel when we crashed. I’m fine, get Yuri.”
He said, cutting off Zeph and ending the conversation. Zeph didn’t protest, and directed his attention to the slumped figure in one of the back seats.
Haku concentrated on the control panel, wincing as sparks spewed from the severe damages. He let out of grumble of complaint as he began to calculate the damages, and his hopes of repairing it enough to get to a stable area were dashed. Instead, he activated the distress signal and could only trust that Kimo would eventually check the main computer back on Refuge.
Yuri and Zeph came up behind him, Yuri flinching as a spark shot across the control panel and sent a flash of light across their faces.
“What now?”
Zeph asked with a small gesture.
Haku closed his eyes, judging the situation before he turned to his comrades.
“We wait. I can’t repair the ship, and we can’t leave it since we’re free floating in space. I have no idea where we are…all we can do is hope that Morgan and Kimo come to get us.”
He sighed, then added grimly,
“I just hope the oxygen supply lasts until then.”
Yuri put her hands together, clenching them together tightly as she lowered her gaze. Zeph shook his head slightly, crossing his arms.
“Well…maybe we can all bunk out and wait till then. They shouldn’t be that long…right?”
Haku shrugged faintly,
“Depends on what’s happening back at the Refuge. We could be waiti-“
Suddenly, the ship lurched downward, causing them all to stumble. Following that were several harsh clangs and screeches of metal being torn. Haku stiffened, whipping around and glaring towards the back of the ship. Yuri and Zeph turned as well, Zeph’s eyes widening,
“What was that?!” he shouted.
“Quiet!” Haku barked as he drew his katana, ignoring the pain that went through him from the movement. The ship lurched again, and a voice called out. Yuri stepped forward nervously, but Haku moved first and stood in front of her.
“Stay here, I’ll check it out.”
He said sternly.
Haku hid in the shadows, walking silently down the hall as he did his best to stay hidden. He stepped forward, and clenched his teeth as a stab of pain went through his leg, almost forcing him to the ground. He stumbled, using his katana to steady himself. The lights above flickered on unexpectedly, and a large form was outlined by the abrupt flash. Haku gaze zipped upward, his expression unreadable as he stared at the figure that was now in front of him. But his stunned state faded quickly as the thing spotted him, and Haku’s adrenaline kicked into gear. He gritted his teeth, his katana flashing in the dark.
“Get off of my ship!” Haku roared as he leapt.
No Haku! Dont attack....wait, is it one of the Autobots? Cause if its a Decepticon, I would love to see how Haku reacts to that, but if its and Autobot, who is it? If hes small enough to fit onto the Gummi Ship, it would probably be either Bumblebee or Cliffjumper...wait, which season is it?!
...Or I might just be rambling on about Transformers and they wont even be in the story, lol, that would be embarrasing. sweatdrop
