I can only stand a mear five feet.
I can only feel what my mind hands to me.
I can only see what my eyes let me see.
And I can only wonder why I climbed the tree.
I climbed to the top, with you,
But the childish games had to end.
I fell to the bottom, ever so slowly, thinking that you'd catch me,
But even you bailed, my true best friend.
It was a nice ride to the top, full of laughter,
But it was a tragic fall to the bottom, where I lost it all.
I tried to work my way back up,
But you'd just push me back down and again, I would fall.
I thought about running away and leaving it all behind,
But it wouldn't matter.
The troubles would follow, and I would give in, my tears falling to the floor with a clatter.
Old memories fill my mind as my door shuts behind me.
Even trhough all of this, I hope you can see,
That when I runaway,
I honestly wonder who would care enough to come after me.
