Mediocrity At It's Finest
These are just random snippets from my mind... enjoy.
NetStar Chronology - Chapter 13
A few days passed since that incident. Daisaku knew what his plan would be, but he still needed to wait. Patiently biding his time, until his opportunity to strike arose. During the peace, Eddie gathered much information, and Daisaku was becoming exceedingly proud of both him and his Captain. He almost seemed... happy. Green had completed his hand to hand training, which Black had taught him. That was a relief to him, because he couldn't stand Black... there was just something about him that was unsettling. He had also completed Counter training under Pink, but he still visited her. His excuse was that he wanted to learn more Wind techniques. We rejoin them after a training session, one day. They were in Pink's room.

"Had enough, Miyamoto?" Pink giggled.

"Okay..." Green nodded. "I'm through for today..."

"You sure are an amatuer, when it comes to Wind."

"Well, when that's the only Element I'm allowed to use in our sessions..."

"You insisted on more training." She smiled. "So I'm just delivering. To master Wind, you need to be able to have the force to execute and withstand! Otherwise, it'll... knock the wind out of you."

Green chuckled.

"You're right about that." He smiled.

"Well, it is my best Element. Perhaps you might want to teach me about Speed, sometime?"

"To tell you the truth, I haven't worked much on it."

"I want you to tell me how to run like you do. You lean your body forward so much that you look like you'll fall over, yet you retain perfect balance. Plus, you can change direction immediately, without tripping up or slowing down."

"Okay, I suppose that does require the channeling of Speed energy." Green paused for a moment. "Speed is a lot like Wind, but it's more of a self-affecting force. As you've told me, Wind requires you to push the force of energy in a powerful rush, while covering a mass area. Speed, on the other hand, deals with a different point of casting. Well, in the case of running. When running as I do, I intentionally overload energy in my feet, so I'll always have a reserve there for a consistant speed. The point of running faster and longer is to push Speed energy out of your foot at the same moment you would push off normally. It's almost as if you're Countering the ground through your feet."

"Right. I understand that." She smiled. "But, how do you change your direction so erradically? And why do you lean forward?"

"Leaning foreward is just a natural reaction to the style of the run. If you want to change direction suddenly, you need to lean in the direction you want, and boost accordingly. But, changing direction requires more than the foot boost. First, you need to shift your feet to the directon you want, then lean your body, and push Speed energy out through one entire side. I wouldn't do it in the heat of battle, because someone who doesn't normally use this running technique might stumble a lot. Just as one who doesn't use Wind a lot will get fatigued easier."

"Very interesting." Pink grinned. "What would happen if you did that while running normally?"

"Normal running shifts the upper body wherever the arms are moving. The slightest error while expelling Speed energy will send the user in the completely wrong direction, or maybe even rolling across the ground."

"I'll put your teachings to good use, then. Might I demonstrate what I've learned, sometime?"

"I'd be flattered, if you did." Green smiled softly.

"I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"I know that you've trained under James, and obviously under me. But, have you sought training from Vincent?"

"No, I haven't." Green shook his head. "To tell you the truth, I don't think his techniques fit my fighting style. I focus on swift dodging, and quick attacks. While they might not be the most powerful, I can execute many at a time. Inversely, Vincent's style focus on crushing opponents with hard blows, and having the endurance to not get interrupted while executing the slower attacks. Since your's and James' styles are similar to mine, I naturally sought training under the both of you."

"And have you been getting extra training from James, like you have from me?"

"No, I haven't. He's taught me everything I've wanted to learn. You, on the other hand, have more interesting techniques, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn some of them on this extra downtime we've been having."

"Oh, really?" Pink raised an eyebrow. "Am I so much more interesting than the other Captains?"

"One might say that." Green looked away. "I mean, you don't try to put yourself above me, and you've been very kind."

"So, naturally you'd want to hang around me more." She gave him a soft smile.

"Right."

"But, that's the only reason, isn't it?" She felt like she was pushing her luck, but she just had to know.

Green paused a moment, then sighed.

"Vincent made it very clear that he wasn't going to accept me hanging around with you, when I first became a Captain. I feel like I'm pushing my luck with all this extra training."

"He's overprotective. And he can't let go of the past. But, isn't it worth it?"

"Well, yes." Green nodded. "I feel as though I can defend myself even better than before."

That's not exactly what I meant, Miyamoto. She thought, hiding her disappointment.

There was a loud knock at the door.

"Who is it?" Pink asked.

"It's Vincent." He answered.

"Come on in."

Orange walked into the room, and gave Green an initial glare, then looked at Pink.

"Another training session, eh Athena?" He asked, chuckling a little.

"Yeah." She nodded. "I don't blame him for being interested in my large selection of techniques."

"So long as that's the only thing he's interested in." He muttered.

"What was that?" Pink raised an eyebrow.

"Nothing." Orange quickly said, then looked at Green. "So, anyway. I was wondering why our friend Miyamoto hasn't come to Vincent for some training."

"Put simply, your techniques don't fit my style." Green spoke strongly.

"Oh, come on. It wouldn't hurt to have a few power attacks. Come on down to the training room. I'll give you some techniques with some real backbone!" He then looked at Pink again. "And you can come if you want, too. Who knows, you might want to use a few."

"We'll be down in a second." Pink gave him a false smile.

Orange left the room.

"It almost seems as though he knew what we were talking about." Pink narrowed her eyebrows.

"All the same, he invited us, so we should give him the benefit of our presence."

"Was that self-esteem I saw?" Pink made an overly exaggerated gasp.

"Quiet, you." Green shook his head, but chuckled.

Pink and Green went to the training room, as Orange had requested. It was large, and very durable. Perfect for... well, you know.

"Welcome!" Orange spread his arms out. "I am glad to see that you took me on my offer. Just so you know, my training protocols are different from Athena's and James'. I will be fighting you head on."

"So, how am I supposed to learn anything?" Green asked. "If we have a practice battle, then it's only natural that we use the techniques we're used to."

"I can see how that might be a problem for you." He smirked. "But look at it this way, if you are hit by a technique enough, then you will know how it feels, and have the ability to put out the same, if not more, force into your attack. Direct demonstration. Trial and error. It got me to where I am today. So, what do you say?"

"Are you sure you're not using this as an opportunity to fight him, so that you can take advantage of his Elemental powers?" Pink asked, with some spite.

"I am well aware that Stone has some resistance to Forest, Speed, and Wind." Orange told her. "But, by no means would I do something like that to my good pal Miyamoto. No. I'm just trying to help him out, as you and James have done."

"Right." Pink rolled her eyes. "No ill intentions there."

Orange looked at Green again.

"So, you up to it?" Orange asked.

"Yeah." He nodded.

Green and Orange fought a little, but Green Countered and dodged everything Orange threw at him. After a while, Orange became annoyed.

"Rrrgh." Orange growled. "How do you expect to learn anything, if you keep bouncing things back and stepping out of the way?"

"I can tell you that you're helping me master my Counter abilities." Green smirked.

"No. This won't do. You have not attacked me once. How do I know if you've learned anything I've been teaching you?"

He's a very bad liar. Pink thought, while sighing.

"If I keep getting hit, then that will make it so I can't perform as good as usual." Green frowned.

"Well, that really isn't my problem." Orange crossed his arms.

"Just like it isn't my problem that your attacks are slow enough to detect, and give me enough time to devise like, ten counter strategies against them." Green retorted.

"Do you want to make this serious?" Orange became enraged.

"I'll take you up on that offer!"

I had a feeling this would happen... Pink thought, rolling her eyes.

Orange and Green intensified their fighting. Green's attacks were too quick for Orange to dodge, but too weak to harm him. Orange's attacks were damaging enough to harm Green, but to slow for Green to get hit by them. It seemed that the both of them were running low on energy, when Green drew his wakazashi.

"Take this!!" Green zig zagged towards Orange, his blade glowing with Forest energy.

He raised the blade, then struck the ground beneath Orange's feet. A spray of pure energy blasted from the impact, completely covering Orange. Orange was knocked over, but he blinked in surprise.

"You did it!" Orange hopped up. "You used one of my techniques! Do you know what this means?"

"Not... really." Green was surprised by his sudden change of mood.

"It means that somehow... you have the potential to be both powerful and quick!"

"Um... yay?" Green blinked.

"I must look into this further... some other time! Because I am wiped out!"

Orange walked out of the room.

"That was strange." Green looked after him, and sheathed his blade.

"It was an act." Pink walked up beside him.

"An act?" He looked at her.

"Yep. He didn't want to admit his defeat, so he pretended to be excited. As we speak, he's probably punching another hole in his wall. Crafty, isn't he?"

"Could have fooled me." Green sighed.

"Well, you did good today. You deserve some rest."

"Yeah. I'll probably sleep the rest of the day away, and the night."

"In that case, would you mind if I joined you?"

"What?" Green stared at her. "Did I hear you correctly?"

"I can let Eddie sleep in my bed. It'll be like a slumber party, except we'll actually be sleeping."

"That sounds nice." He blinked. "But this wouldn't have anything to do with your feud with Vincent... would it?"

"A little bit." She looked innocent.

"Athena..." Green frowned a little. "I don't appreciate being used as a tool for revenge."

"What? You have to admit, you were more than a little aggrivated by the way he was acting."

"You're right."

"See? It all works out in the end."

Yeah. It's just too bad that it couldn't have been more personal. Green thought.

"Is something wrong?" She asked.

"No." He shook his head.

"We don't have to sleep right away. We could talk a little. I mean, we'll have plenty of time, without any buffoons bothering us."

"Sounds good." He nodded.

"But don't get any funny ideas." Pink told him. "I don't want to wake up to find your hands touching inappropriate places."

"I wouldn't do that!" He blushed, then his mind wandered. Without your permission.

"Good." She nodded. "See to it that you don't!"

Green watched as Pink left, then he followed soon after. The next day would be very busy, so they needed all the rest they could get.

You know Green actually fits in the Empire. I guess Pink was right, he is happy and is having a next time gonk Along with that he is learning some pretty powerful techniques. And I have to say that if he is both fast and powerful it may by even further increse when he uses Seven Force eek And Orange was quite annoying more then when fist Pink should up and she was been fake. The last part of the story sounded like it was going adult, like if Green and Pink were going to do something twisted
